Working on a Anti-Aggro deck to help with the back to back zoo/rush decks that can still deal with late game to some extent. How does this look so far?
I made an all-taunt deck to counter zoo and hunter and it does so perfectly. You need to play games against them to see what cards are good, because what looks good on paper is not always right in-game.
Cards that have helped me tremendously:
2x. Ancient of War and Lore. Druid actually has no problem making it to turn 5 or 7, where you can innervate out the War for a 5/10 or Lore for 5 health heal. People say "oh but they'll owl and silence" but this is rarely the case, usually they burn their only silence from turns 2-5 or they simply don't have it. Also, the power of Zoo is that they can keep up the pressure past turn 10 thanks to warlock hero power, dropping 2 minions a turn. This means that you are not out of the woods when both players have 10 mana, and lots of games go to that point. Therefore, going through two 5/10's is very necessary, and there are so many games that my first AoW dies and my 2nd AoW wins me the game.
Put in 1x. force of nature. It's good against everything, even zoo, when you want to remove divine shields and clear the board. It usually stabilizes the game for you by next turn. I have even tried 2x force of nature and it's working out so far.
The wild pyros are useless. Zoo decks do not have a bunch of x/1's or even x/2's because they buff their creatures. Claws are useless too as they will refill the crap you killed and it has no way to kill the big creatures. You need taunters. I run 2x watchers, 2x protectors, 2x argus and a Motw. Motw is awesome against zoo and makes any of your creatures better, such as tadzingo or even a lone sunfury protector or kotg.
Thank's both of you for the detailed post. Currently trying both of your idea's. Not sure which I like best. but the addition of Mark of the WIld does some amazing work in both decks.
What do you think about using Naturalize in both decks in place of a Big Game Hunter? The BGH can be a dead card, but no other drawbacks.. Naturalize works on Doomguard which is a big plus, but just giving my opponent two cards seems steep.
