I'm returning to Druid after the nerfs and enjoying messing around with the Miracle builds. It seems like most decks have the similar plan of drawing all your cards and then playing an OTK. In your opinion, what is the best and most consistent finisher for Druid OTKs?
Depending on the definition of best, Gonk. Biting someone eight times in the face is just far, far cooler than anything else. Best at winning? I don't know. But think of it this way: your OTK could be a dinosaur, or could be something other than a dinosaur. Choose dino.
For pure fun factor, gonk otk is the best. I lol every time I get to pull it off because it's so stupid but as far as being competitive it's probably the miracle mechathun build. Togwaggle azalina is still a pretty good build, and was my deck of choice prior to nerfs, but isn't that great since it's much clunkier and slower post nerf.
Hakkar Druid is a legit deck that can win games. Mecha'thun Druid is similar but inferior due to empty board/hand conditions. Everything else is a meme except for Malygos, which can perform in certain tournament environments.
They're all viable, and they all call for different playstyles. For Mecha'thun, you're either playing it slowly to stall out with the slow Mecha'thun list, or you're vomiting onto the gameboard with the fast list. Gonk Druid id the meme-iest, and it does not have the clunky win condition tied with Mecha'thun. However, it does seem to have a slightly lower winrate. Nobody plays Toggwaggle Druid anymore, assuming that you're talking about the Toggwaggle + Azalina fatigue combo Druid, because the nerfs just make the deck unplayable. Hakkar Druid is probably the best one on ladder, and Malygos Druid seems to do very well in tournaments. So they're all viable, it's just up to you to choose which one to play.
TL;DR:
- Gonk Druid = Most fun, won't get tired of playing, lower winrate
- Fast Mecha'thun/Slow Mecha'thun = Most common, highest winrate
- Toggwaggle Druid = Gone
- Malygos Druid = Sees a lot of play in tourneys, has a high skill floor and cap, kinda clunky in certain situations (if you have to use a spell to remove the board)
- Hakkar Druid = Probably the best all around, has a high skill floor (not as high as Malygos tho)
And if it doesn't work out, put all OTKs in one deck and you will win every single game. Hey, if people can put two Paladin OTKs in a deck and have it be competitively viable, Druid can do 5 just as well.
I'd go mecha'thun hunters super popular and mecha'thun beats it everytime.You never have to proc secrets and you can clear most boards easily. At the moment my last 10 games have been all hunters and anything other then mecha'thun is a loss

@thebitterfig
Dino OTK sounds great. I haven’t encountered one yet. Decklist?
