I have every card besides the DK (Malfurian). Is the deck skill going to be strong? If it's just a few percentage points difference, then I'm OK with that (50%-ish WR is more than adequate for me). Would something like the Lich King be a decent substitute?
Druid is my least played class, so crafting the DK isn't a priority.
Not having Prince Keleseth is kind of painful. He's hardly core and the deck doesn't suffer hugely if you don't draw him, but he is definitely a helper.
But, Malfurion the Pestilent is important in the late game. With a high level of aggro in the meta, that 5 armour is welcome as are the taunts when needed. And against the bigger, mid-range and control decks, poisonous spiders can be clutch. The 3 attack on hero power is also solid either to help whittle down an enemy, or remove things in your way.
If you have to choose one, get Malfurion. If you can't get either, you can still play the deck, but it's not going to be the same.

Prince K on 2 increases your win rate dramatically, I hard mull for him and summoner vs any slow deck. DK Malf could be replaced with another win con like Lich King, or maybe even a tempo/value card like Black Knight. So not too detrimental to be playable, and Prince K is more core to the deck than Malf.
Dude just don't bother with this deck anyway, I'm sure you've got better things to do with your time than play an autopilot deck that any chimp could play.
Ya, you're right. I'll try a more skill-dependent deck.
I'm playing Spiteful Druid without Malfurion since I don't have him either and so far it's going pretty decent. That said, I haven't really played that many games with the deck yet so my sample size is somewhat small.
Anyway, decklists are not cast in stone - just give it a try and see how it works out for you. :)
I want to try a deck w/o Prince Keleseth and Malfurion the Pestilent since I don't have any of those. I have the rest which is good since I build some legendary for taunt druid which is hardly a good deck right now. I think it is viable but not strong enough since you won't get unlimited armor or enough finisher for fatigue. Otherwise it is still pretty good.
BTW The Lich King is goes well in this deck. If you have lich king just put in there but it is not an substitute.
I took PrinceFancy's Spiteful Druid list without Malfurion to from Rank 5 to Rank 2, so it's at least decent without Malfurion in my mind. Took some practice on knowing when to use what, and some close wins.
That was playing with Keleseth. You don't always draw him early enough in the game for him to matter. But it's nice when you do.
Also, I broke down and crafted Malfurion, and I haven't got past rank 3 with him. Partly my first time really competing at these ranks, but I believe Spiteful Druid is losing more to the meta than it was a week ago, either due to innovation in competing decks, or having been figured out by more opponents.
You could probably play Spiteful Druid without either of them. Omitting Keleseth opens up some two drops I probably haven't thought about. Mind Breaker, Gluttonous Ooze or Void Ripper are decent tech or surprise cards. And I've run Lich King in Spiteful Druid, he works OK.

Thanks!
No Prince Keleseth either. Would those two omissions be to detrimental to the deck to be playable?

You should play a different deck, those two cards are very important

Dont play autopilot braindead decks like spiteful.

My two cents.
