But their upgrades of one damage don't scale the way the warrior is. It was normally hunter- deal 2 damage and warrior- gain to armor. so if a warrior armored up the hunter could negate it with hero power. now the warrior would still come out with an extra armor. and yeah with the commander and maiden of the lake its kinda scary to think how much armor gain you could potentially get. I wanna see a card thats like, draw 3 cards (cost 1 less for every 2 armor you have) or something like that. Something that would help CW with late game draws and actually giving armor another helpful use other than shield slam.
Great... now Freeze Mages will have a 0.00000000001% win chance against Control Warriors. I hope they will introduce some other cards to balance this out for Mages or else it will just be better to concede against every Warrior you ever face when the new expansion comes out instead of wasting your time.
But apart from that, this is indeed a great card, can easily replace a Shieldmaiden in my opinion, and will make people question whether Grim Patron will still be viable in Warrior decks.

What does Grim Patron has to do with this? Grim Patron will always be viable on Warrior decks due to Frothing Berserker and Warson commander.
I don't play Facehunter but I will definitely build one because of this. The longer the game, the more powerful he becomes. Must kill him asap. I think they should change Priest and Warrior new HP to 3 hp and 3 armor .

We don't know yet 100% but I think it could be way harder to kill a Warrior with Frothing Berserker when he has 100 life or somewhere near that.
I really think this should be 3 armor, and they should let the priests enjoy the better upgrade (4 hp) overall. At least priest doesn't use the amount of heal to kill minions with 1 mana.
Or a card that destroys armor with a battlecry would do. Otherwise, this is unfair.

Well, priests can't go up above 30 health and be resilient to alextrasza like a control warrior. Versus aggro, they can't really heal anything but face anyway. They also don't have heal slam as a synergy, and don't have equally good other armor/heal boosting card like heal block, healsmith and healmaiden. There's the holy fire and that's good, but the healing part is more often than not; a waste when above 25 hp. Also, it is usually only 1 of a card that is run sometimes.
Control warriors are also very strong versus combo and aggro decks. Priest can be strong versus aggro, but combo decks usually just burst them down and they mostly can't do anything about it.
I think this change is great, and I primarily play Mage (used to play a lot of freeze before moving to echo)
Aggro needs better counters. But it even this is only a start. There still needs to be a lot more and better early game anti-Aggro cards, for all classes.
I love this new ability. Justicar Trueheart is definitely going in my Control Warrior deck. The value of having 4 armor over 2 is immense, especially when you're dealing with the likes of aggro class decks/face Hunter decks.
I think it's not gonna be used over Shieldmaiden. Her burst of 5 armor helps doing larger Shield Slams in a pinch, (7 mana for body + 5 dmg), but Commander is gonna need at least 9 mana to put out 4 dmg slam.
Also everyone seems to ignore that 6/3 body is much weaker than 5/5, it can't trade anything reasonable (it can even die to leftover 3/2 token from Shredder).
Versus heavy aggro, Commander turn 6 might be a death wish because you need to hero power at least 3 times to outvalue Maiden, and she will be picked off by essentially anything while maiden can at least do a reasonable trade.
I never found having huge stack of armor useful, when you lose the control game it doesnt matter if you have 40 armor when enemy can slam your face for 15 dmg every turn.
btw best hero power upgrade (in a vacuum) is paladin, making 2 bodies instead of 1 lets them build up board and mage/rogue/druid can't ping them off with their 2 dmg HP
Shieldmaiden is the obvious choice for replacement with Justicar but I think it will still be necessary to run 1 of them. I've only been running 1 at the moment and I can only think of 1 game in the last 50 where I needed Armor on demand for a Shield Slam and I didn't have it.
I think in the current meta it's a reasonable pick-up, but if the meta slows at all then it'll rise in value considerably.

Sadly, that won't happen. Control Warrior will never get a dominance over the meta like patron warrior, zoolock, or hunter have had, simply because of how expensive a good CW deck is. And unless CW dominates the meta, patron warriors don't need to worry too much about it.
Some people are making this out to seem over powered which it is definitely not.. I'll craft it and run it in my CW, but it's not over powered by a long shot. It's very very very slow. Like everyone is pointing out you have to use hero power quite a few times to out value shieldmaiden, but yeah against freeze mage and other heavy control decks that like to go down close to fatigue or top deck wars this guy could have a ton of value. And yeah, priest is fine how it is.. priest can heal minions as well as face which is why he can't overheal past 30 like warrior can. It's a completely balanced system.
Easy best Class and Upgrade, can even be easyly exchanged vs Schildmaiden in CW
I'd say Priest and Shaman upgrades give it a run. [Priests get just as much HP but can also use it for board presence. Shamans get to choose their totem which is effectively a *4 boost to their HP.]
Priest got the best value here from Auchenai by a long shot. More armour wasn't ever a problem for control warrior and all your warrior players know it. You also dont care much for aggro either since thats a great match up for you and your whirlwinds/ping minions. I think Shaman getting to choose a taunt/spell totem is in for 2nd best. I am also very interested in Druids hero power as its a pretty good upgrade finally being able to be used for the end game.

I can see the CW potential!
But what if they spoil a legendary card, like a 4 mana 4/3 Ooze, Battlecry: "Remove your opponents armuor"?
