Back in the day CW was a deck that had few really good matchups but most were around 60/40 or 55/45 so it was considered a very reliable deck. Fast forward to now and is it still the same or are new decks bringing that ratio down?
It's pretty similar. you're about 50/50 against everything, but with knowledge and practice you can hit 60% until legend pretty consistently. Only Druid feels bad.
You will lose to Paladin hero power value if the game drags into fatigue. You need to be a lot more aggressive than normal (go face instead of trading when the decision is close; Alexstrasza them even if your health is kind of low). Save Brawl for Quartermaster. Play Foe Reaper 4000 (kind of a joke, but he's actually really good against Paladin/Druid/Shaman).

Then, right before you clear their board with Foe Reaper, you drop Thermaplugg and get your 3 free leper gnomes.
CW ever single Nax has always been a good choice at all ranked. I find it funny to anyone who still calls it "Wallet Warrior" it just all depends on how your deck is tuned. The Worst matchups for CW are Paladin,Shaman and Druid; All 3 of which are not big parts of the meta so.
I find priest to be almost unwindable unless the priest gets antsy and plays a bunch of cards onto the field. If they are patient though there is very little control warrior can do, or so it seems to me.
I've been playing with the old fashion Wallet Control Warrior lately and to be honest the win ratio is as solid as it ever was. I'm getting a consistent 63% win at legend rank. So there you go. The deck is good and solid, limited only by the skill and experience of the player. Also it is a myth that Paladin counters Control Warrior, that has been one of my strongest matchups. 76% wins against Paladin.
But doesn't Tempo Mage feel like a hard counter? If you don't get a weapon early on they could snowball. I feel like you'll need both weapons, one to clear the earlier minions, one to clear Flamewaker. Even then, Mirror Image just wrecks your weapons. Also, you don't have fodder for Mirror Entity unless you're lucky to have a Cruel Taskmaster or, if you run it, Ironbeak Owl. Even giving them Armorsmith is fine, but giving them Acolyte of Pain without clearing it on the same turn is a big no-no. And you don't want to waste precious removal to trigger Counterspell, so you usually give them Whirlwind, Revenge, or Shield Block, which is kind of a waste.
Sorry, I'm just new to this Control Warrior business, but got any tips against Tempo Mage? And yes, I also feel like Paladin and Druid are counters, but I'm not having a problem with them as much as Tempo Mage.

yeah played as a CW lost to a paladin twice. and as a paladin beat CW twice too. almost all games goes to fatigue

CW is about as consistent as a turn 2 win axe. Depending on how naturally lucky you are, the deck's reliability will vary from person to person.

Hearthstone is a game of "copy and pasting"
