Since about 5 days prior to this new season, my awesome record with warrior is going to hell. It seems that all of a sudden acolyte of pain just isnt enough in regards to the current meta, i find myself always having an answer to the board yet the answer is always in the deck and not my hand. This new meta is super aggressive super early, even paladins flood us by turn 3 now :) . I feel like if we teched more towards aggro we would still be fine in control vs control because in reality alot of other control decks have shifted to more midgame and aggresive styles as well, and as far as handlock that win is just to easy as is (2x shield slam/2xexecute/1BGH= no chance). When i say gear for early game i mean things like running 2 slams, they can remove and cycle through your deck, or even loot hoarders. Basically just more card draw so that we can have the answers to the board. Unfortunately the warrior decklists are so crammed and all cards are so essential, I've already cut back on 2 armorsmisths, 1 taskmaster, harrison jones, and that was to add in things like brawl and the 2 shieldmaidens (pretty essential stuff). my current decklist is vey similar to sjows minus 2 armorsmiths for a second shield block and a black knight. (black knight was just recent insert because i played liek 10 paladin matches back to back yesterday he isnt normally in there)
You're just experiencing better opponents and seeing how your deck matches up with the big boys. You'll win more as the month goes on and the better decks move higher.
Ideally, you want to drop Acolyte of Pain when you have a way of activating it at least once on the same turn. I would hesitate to drop it naked on turn 3, for example.
That said, sometimes early aggro just gets perfect draws. Managing your resources to survive and take control in the later stages of the game can be a challenge in those cases.

thanks for your response, last season i was at rank 2 and than towards the end i plummeted down to like 7 all in one day because my opening hand was literally every game (mana costs) 7,7,6,8. it was never really an issue like that before. it would happen sometimes but literally since that day, i have only had FWA in opening hand once and that was in a mirror match. and i mulligan for it aggressively. Im fine with that i get that its part of the rng in this game, but thats why i think more card draw can help limit that problem so i can try to draw into what i need

end of season all the big guns are at the top so... very easy to win ranked.
beggining of the season = more skill needed or counter aggro

Before every game I pray to little baby RNGesus
