tin foil or no, there's been game developers (not from HS tho) on reddit who explained how rng in games works...there's youtube videos and everything...
tbh, believing is nothing but plain rng from start to finish is naive af ...then again, most of us believe in naive stuff anyways :D
How many games by now? I played Gala warrior in my last climb from d3-legend. It looks like 45% games were against evolve shaman. There are no doubt a lot on top ladder to legend, so you shouldn't be surprised by facing 4-5 straight. The evolve shaman also seems to be a certain breed, that prefers to play at certain times of day. Try playing at other times of day, but don't assume that hs reads your deck list and give you specific match ups based on it. MMR is also based on game experience thou, so maybe all the people on your estimated "level" plays evolve shaman. No offence meant
they are not using AI to manipulate match ups and RNG
do you know how zephrys works? AI
using AI means millions of investment, you know they spent money on that becuz they love us, no money was intended.
just to let you know im still facing shamans only, one highlander pally happened and thats it.
shamans only
Zephrys's AI is very dumb, it is a bunch of hard coded cases of different game states. There is nothing intelligent about it.
Now, I'm no scientist, but isn't AI different than what Zephrys is? Like, the card runs an algorithm to check the board state and then pull the best cards for you. But it can only read numbers and certain keywords.
When you say AI, I'm thinking of a robot that has many, many algorithms that change and adapt to simulate human thinking and reasoning. Something I highly doubt Blizzard would "spend millions" on developing.
This is the same as the Blizzard spies and game rigging arguments that I just can't believe Blizzard would spend so much time and money on even if they wanted to.
They should start by hiring some more IT people or something and fix their current problems first before delving into the realm of science fiction mafia movies.
Wow. I mean.... I don't want to be rude with an insult here, but... wow.
There is an... *ahem*... stark difference between AI and Zephrys in Hearthstone.
omg are you serious? AI is a bunch of algorithms based on a set information which usually decides or helps in decision making.
how zephrys collects the information it needs to decide? how does he decide.
zephrys doesn't see your board, it collects your information, so blizzard is using an AI to collect the information necessary and zephrys gives the best option according to human brains.
this is what they have decided to show us,
a simple knowledge on contemporary economy wil tell you no serious business is left without AI.
and that AI tends to collect your personal information for decision making and and commercial policies
they are not using AI to manipulate match ups and RNG

You can probably call Zeph AI in the technical sense of the phrase AI because it takes input, the current game state, and gives the output, 3 cards, that maximizes the advantage for the player that played it. I called Zeph dumb AI because it does no learning and whatever it does with the input is pretty basic.
Making a smart AI for Zeph is same as making a HS bot that plays perfectly, not impossible but very hard.
It's probably not a good matchup, depending on your boardsweeper count etc. Proactive decks tend to be at an advantage in this game.
With that said, try playing something else for a bit. Or tweaking your list to include the "Steal a weapon" Kobold. That seems to be the meta meta at the moment.
Run Kobold Stickyfingers in your warrior deck and congrats on legend :) (slight exaggeration). How long do you guys think we get some balance changes? Isn't there also a mid-season mini set also supposed to be released soon before the next full expansion?
In my experience, these streaks happen quite frequently when a deck is popular, but just stay focused, they will end, and you will even win against Even shaman if you don't give up.
Choosing the right deck and teaching it for your likely opponent is a very important part of this game. Too many times, I have had to give up on archetypes as the metagames just ran away from them, and there is not way to get a decent winrate anymore, but you need around 30 games to be absolutely sure, unless you go like 0-10 your first games and they don't seem winnable.
I think you overlooked how OP tinfoiled right into his conspiracy theory again how Blizz has rigged the game.
It was him who brought up Zephrys, TRUE! But there certainly wasn't implied that we should discuss the definition of AI and whether certain elements qualify as such ;) It was more just a bit amusing how the discussion took off.
I really love these MM conspiracies. If he had faced HL mage 5 times in a row on prime time D2 ladder I might have payed attention, but I guess that having a clunky "AI" somewhere proofs that EVERYTHING in this game is 1000000% rigged. lol

guys im not facing anything but evolve shaman. im a midrange warrior. is there anything wrong with my DNA?
the sample size for other decks are 0. zero
im mainly slapping them but shouldn't i have a break from this deck?
now tell me they are not using AI to manipulate match ups and RNG

Time to take off your tin-foil hat!

I love this. "I'm only facing shamans. Except for that Paladin. But if you ignore the things that contradict my argument, I'm totally right!"
OP: Why do i face so many shamans?
Comments: What IS AI?

man get off, you are too smart for this

dont be a dick. your nitpicking and weak attempt at acting superior is childish. anybody would be frustrated seeing evolve shaman in 7 of 8 games.
