Idk what they were thinking when they added respectively Omega Devastator and Waggle Pick to the classes with already the two cards above in their arsenal.
Standard may be balanced and refreshing, but look at how classes/archetypes are brutally supported in a very specific way.
ie Warrior has been given flawlessly good Armor/Mech cards since Boomsday.
The Standard meta is basically sealed during card design phase, with such ridiculous cards being pumped in, amongst a sea of useless or meme cards (that turn out to be broken in Wild, but that's another story i suppose...).
Omega Devastator is beyond me, a card that just kills 90% of big drops, the "Omega" text not even mattering when the deck will push to a late game anyway
Thanks for all the replies guys, first time using the forums after being a long-time lurker. After thinking about it I think the game is in a weird spot right now being so control-heavy, since it can lead to some incredibly boring matchup chains. Let's face it: not all cards are balanced. When you're building a deck to be late-game centric the class cards you use will not be as balanced as the class cards of others. And that's what it really comes down to is a balancing issue: token druid, and this new burgle-rouge are ridiculous as well. Token druid with it's board fill after board fill leads to an incredibly unfun match for both sides imo. All of Rouge's "if you're holding a card from another class" cards are also out of wack, just because of how absolutely easy it is to have cards from other classes in your hand, sometimes you even get to choose them too, which allows for a very flexible style of play.
Inbalance is what it comes down to right now, and its what makes it unfun for me
To me, the biggest problem with Warrior is the Dr. Boom hero. When every class had a death knight, this card stacked up fairly well against them. Now that the death knights are gone, this card gives Warrior a very unfair advantage: infinite value. When I play against Warrior now, if they don't pull Dr. Boom, it can be a good game, and I win some, and lose some. However, I'd say I lose 90% or more of matches when Dr. Boom hits the table.
If you want to beat control warrior, use the Mecha'cthun warrior list, it beats all control warriors out there. Sometimes you have to join 'em to win em. On the other hand, i'm facing more and more agro and rogues are everywhre, so why complain? I personally think you can't beat all archetypes, so enjoy playing the others?
It's beyond me how someone would have tolerated the past year's meta, which saw very little change from the start, only to choose NOW to leave the game. So it was good for you before, and bad now? I mean you no disrespect, clearly you're very irritated, so maybe you're doing what's best for you...I just think your reasoning is misguided at best.
This exactly. I quit shortly after Witchwood release because of the DK/recruit meta. At least there are only two problem classes right now.
This is just a short waiting game because I can't imagine Team 5 leaving things as they are. There will be a patch after HCT. If they don't fix things by the time the single-player content is released, THAT will be the time to talk about quitting.
