I've been playing Pirate Warrior since Journey to Un'goro, and though I enjoy the quick matches I can get with my deck, I've never felt confident playing it on ranked mode because of how fragile it is. I can deliver blistering assaults that wrap up the game in 5 or 6 turns, but a single good control card such as Spreading Plague, Maelstrom Portal, or Potion of Madness at the right time can bring me to a screeching halt; a fact that most players are aware of at this point due to this deck's popularity.
I regret to admit I'm still on rank 16 right now, and understand the game is probably different at higher ranks, but, even considering that, I have a hard time understanding how the deck can thrive despite its weaknesses.
It's too early to say which deck is top tier or not. Meta is still unstable, but Control Warlock and Jade Druid became good decks for sure.
Murloc Paladin and Pirate Warrior are still strong, and if they keep appearing in the ladder Aggro Druids and Midrange Hunters will include Hungry Crab and Golakka again (they removed them because of too many control decks in the ladder).
Elemental Mage is not that good as I thought, Burn Mage and Secret Mage are doing better than Elemental one.
That was my impressions in this two weeks post expansion. Can't talk about other classes at all, most of my opponents were Pirate Warrior, both Jade and Aggro Druid, Murloc and Control Paladin, Secret and Elemental Mage, Midrange Hunter and Control Warlock.
There were almost no Priests, Shamans and Rogues for me.

I feel the same exactly. Seeing High Roller RNG decks or decks that is either 0 or 1(win if you draw the right card else lose) on top Tiers makes me more salty than playing with or against them because these false reports give a different picture because either the report is made at Legend meta or the people just play a few games with it and get lucky and say they reached Legend!.
I heard Reynad said Innervate needs to be rotated. Yup, I agree with him. Kappa. It's so powerful that I treat it as a legendary and play just 1 copy because I've had hands with just 2 innervates and nothing else. I want consistency over crazy double innervate turns.
So, please ignore those wrong rank stats and just see these fragile, inconsistent, hit or miss decks' win rates on Vicious Syndicate which show that these decks have 50-51% win rate which is terrible. Really? 51%? You are not gaining even a net 1-star with 51% win rate.
I find it hard to believe that anybody here will help you get better with such a linear, unfun (to play against), deck. I played a PW today and drew terrible vs him. I love the "heh. Greetings." As he smashes my face in with 13 damage from his weapon and 5 from his board on turn 6.
I know Aggro is needed and all that, but we are all sick of pirates man. Playing your cards on curve and mindlessly clicking face doesn't make you a better player. Try Kaza Reno preist. Or midrange or control paladin. Or any of the new Warlock builds. Anything but pirates for the love of God.
Mostly bc people are building around jade druids more than anything else, giving pirate warrior leverage to show up with its filthy rush while the opponent only readied themselves against grindy matchups
Once druid gets nerfed or some shit pirate will get worse.
Having beaten ever. Single. Pirate. Warrior with Malfurion, I have no sympathy for you. Continue playing your deck, start playing ladder and let me get my free win against you.
Because Blizzard doesn't have a playtest server so that some players can test out the new cards and their testing function clearly blows ass. Hence Pirate Warrior. Hence Jade Druid.
It's gotten so much weaker with Jade Druid being dominate and having access to so many taunts. Likewise all the other control decks have insane anti aggro cards. Also rogue is barely seeing play anymore and doesn't obliterate jade druid anymore, so that is one of pw best matches down the shitter. It might be tier one in some folks opinions, but it's just so easily wrecked by a few heals or taunts that I feel it is actually tier two atm. Murloc paladin is a much sturdier aggro deck that can withstand spreading plague and can have a pretty strong late game. Hell, you barely even see Golakkas anymore. Guess the ptsd is keeping it tier one.
I just used pirate warrior and murloc paly to make my R7 to R5 push. It is strong right now because the most popular decks are very slow. If you can get a good starting hand you will crush control mage, priest and jade druid. Fight cancer with cancer. This meta blows btw...

Yup, that's why Pirates is tier 1, just like how aggro druid was in the Un'goro meta, if you draw badly and your opponent draws you are just screwed, however, if you draw well with Pirates (which is likely, since your deck is full of 1/2/3 curves) and your slower opponent misses a single turn on curve, you're likely to just auto-win.
Edit: My own opinion, I think recently (less so with KFT, more so in UNG) the meta has been exactly what you described in top tier decks... I get by through telling myself "it's just a game, who cares?" and playing casually / not competitively. I can't imagine what being a pro player must be like in such a game though... even poker has more skill.

If I have to fight cancer with cancer, I'd rather not fight at all

Meta snapshot this time was just Reynads Salt pressed into a tier list. They put Druid only in S and decks that beat it "kinda" into tier1.
Pirate warrior is still a good deck dont get me wrong but i doubt its tier 1 atm. to many decks beat it consistently.
Check out my entry for this week's Card Design Competition. Vote for it if you like it.

I've always wondered who the jackass playing pirate warrior in MSG and Un'goro on casual mode was... now I know.
I literally have a running joke with my wife based around "who the f**k plays pirate warrior in casual mode?!"
Professional Poker Player trying to make it in Hearthstone. I am the opposite of f2p.

Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.

Murloc Paladin is ten times more brainless than Pirate Warrior.

my niece who have 2 have won a game with pirate warrior ,she just clic on the green card...
PW isn't a difficult deck, but a few bad decisions here and there will ruin your winrates.
People also sometimes forget that you aren't always in a desperate hurry, it's a deck that can cause some incredible wreckage on later turns as well.

Is this thread real? You are asking why arguibly one of the best aggro decks in hearthstone story is a tier 1 deck? ...

Because Jade Druid and Quest Mage are popular right now.
Fuck cubelock
Ya I might not fight at all next season. This game has hit an all time low.
