When i try to play Pirate Warrior, the opponent always have big taunts and i draw the worst cards from my deck. For example i draw cards that require weapon to be good. Also, i don't really know when and what to trade.
Is this deck type really that overpowered or am i doing something wrong?
It's less strong now than back when MSoG was released (not very good against Shamans), but it's still a strong deck. Not hard to play in any way though... It might just be the easiest deck to play in the history of HS. Guide: Don't draw Pacthes, Go Face.
Me too. When I play Pirate Warrior I never draw early game and the games I do I don't get burn to finish. Strangely I have none of these problems when I play Dragon Warrior.
I'm going to go ahead and necro this thread because I too seem to have problems with pirate warrior. Much like dalkri (who posted above) I win much more often with dragon warrior, nearly 2x more often.
Responses here say go face nearly always, response to a post I made on Reddit overwhelmingly say to trade in the early game.
You mostly only trade in early game when 1) you need to get the early upperhand against opposing aggro/mirror, or 2) you want to increase your odds of having at least 1 pirate survive to turn 3 to activate Bloodsail Cultist.

you trade with the weapons because they protect your minions who are your source of constant damage, you don't spend all your wepon's charges trading tho because you need to hit face at least once with every weapon to have enough reach for lethal, upgrade fixes a lot of this as well
Hearthpw forum: but Infirc you said you've never played PW
Well.. i played a lot of face hunter back in the day (used to farm 100 gold a day when i was piss poor and had no collection, i'm still piss poor but well i have a big collection :D) and the basics of aggro decks keep being the same.
I have the same problem, the deck just dosnt click with me. I hate playing it, hate myself for playing it and hate playing against it. I have a higher winrate with @$%# C'Thun Warrior than pirates.
Sadly, I hate myself for crafting this deck... I had golden the beast and I dusted it, then i had collected 1200 dust for 1 months, and I crafted Leeroy and with the leftovers, I completed the entire deck.
Yet I stuck in the rank 11. cant seem to get streaks
I really don't know what you guys are talking about. I've just started playing pirate warrior this month and it's been amazing! I finally broke down and crafted double upgrade and double mortal strike.
The deck is a TON of fun, and not nearly as brainless as everyone makes it out to be. I've been using this list:
I suggest trying it out, and messing around with the list yourself. When I originally tried out the net decks, I couldn't play those, but I saw the potential and tinkered with the list. That's the result!

It's honestly one of the most frustrating decks to play
it's all rng based
I have less than 30% of winrate with PW. There are counters everywhere nowadays...
The info is very helpful. Thanks!

Midgame, you only trade if you'll die otherwise.
Lategame, you just concede if it gets that far.
You could play a different deck and help the meta move away from aggro pirates?
Thanks, that'd be swell.
Everybody that is playing pirate warrior should learn to play the game.
Weapon trade, the rest go face is a "decision making" for you? LUL.
Bla bla bla. Just try to defend your brainless decks, I don't even care.
You cant play pirate warrior?
Thats Incredible!
Cant play pirate warrior LUL

I like to make cards and discuss game balance.
I enjoy when "No similar decks were found."
