Yah I hate how even this game is I wish it was more odd.
Nah, I'd rather it be zero, that way it's neither.
You know 0 is even, right ?
Zero is nothing, so how could it possibly be even or odd? It'd be just as likely for zero to be odd as it would be for it to be even. And don't say that it's even just because the numbers before and after are odd, because that doesn't definitively prove anything.
Dude. Come on now. Is 0 a multiple of 2? Yes? Then it's an even number. WTF?
It just doesn't make sense though, you're saying that nothing, zero, is described as being something, even. You can't describe nothing using things that describe something, nothing isn't blue or green for example, it's nothing.
Zero passes all tests for being an even number, but does not pass all tests for being an odd number. Therefore zero is even. It's also a mistake to say that zero is 'nothing' - that's not correct.

To me, zero is just a definition we have given to nothing, so that we'd have a way of doing describing this "nothing" in numbers. So to me, zero I should basically nothing.
Edit: also, would you mind sharing the tests for a number to be even? I've never actually heard of these tests so I'm a bit interested.

They're quite simple tests. For a number to be even, it should: be able to be divided by 2; have odd numbers either side of it; be the sum of an integer number and itself (ie 0 + 0 = 0, 1 + 1 = 2); and you can split a set of that number of objects into two equal sized sets (So 2 objects = 2 sets of 1 object). Some of them sound redundant, but they're mostly there to catch edge cases (like 0).

Huh, cool, didn't know about that. It still doesn't make sense that the concept of nothing is described using an adjective for something.

I don't even know what to say...what an odd thread.
Simple. You concede.
