With the change made to Charge, maybe cards like Magnataur Alpha could become a decent removal for 5 mana. Of course it would require to change the "common" control warrior list.
Another example is Grim Patron, giving it charge might be great in some matchups.
What do you guys think? Do you have another ideas?
If the goal is to use Magnataur Alpha + Charge as a form of removal, what is the follow up on the next turn? You are wasting too many resources just to make trades. Warrior decks that are control-oriented have enough resources to be able to remove threats without using up the deck slots and resources you're mentioning.
It's just not viable. Contructed has too many tempo and burst plays that your opponent more than likely has a solid follow up to the play, but you won't. I would say this observation is an objective one
Nope guys these cards have little synergy with charge. The best minions to charge are Sylvanas and Cairne, or something like Abomination. Would make N'zoth Warrior super playable!
No it's not. Just because you see no use for it doesn't mean people won't try to use it. It makes any minion in your deck, a sort of removal.
The card has always been able to do that and nobody uses it that way. Just because its been restricted does not mean it suddenly becomes viable. People said the same thing when Warsong Commander was nerfed and nobody uses it.
To wit, my argument is not that people won't try to use it. My argument is that its no longer competitively useful or viable.

Which you would still be incorrect because the mana is now 1, which will probably open many doors people WILL test.

Warsong commander nerf reads "this card is useless"
This card reads "this cards has a specific use"
it's like windfury for shamans.. a condition granting charge is a strong mechanic..
I'ts really good with acolyte of pain and sylvannas cause sometimes you wanna trade with them in the same turn but can't THIS IS HUGE...
I think the card is versabile enough to run in a C'Thun warrior there are many minions there which can trade very well with charge
C'Thun's Chosen + Charge= argent commander (which gives C'thun +2/+2) is a great example

 I glanced over the mana change. I'll lessen my position. It will be curious to see the synergizes that can be built with it. Overall, I am still skeptical of its competitive use.

I don't know for the others but I could care less about competitive.
Hmm, I'm reevaluating fool's bane. Just had it on an arena run where it did fairly well with few 1, 2, or 3 drops, It might be good in a value/tempo warrior deck, bringing it up because I think charge would help in that deck too. hmmmmm.
For example, its combo with Magnataur Alpha is nice by itself, but gets even more interesting when you add Sparring Partner to the mix : _ you get to target the weak link of your opponent's board (Leokk hiding behind Misha, the totem behind Thing from Below), increasing the odds of your Magnataur's survival _ Sparring Partner protects your Magnataur from ennemy retaliation the following turn, forcing a removal (and without one, boy is he in trouble !).
It is also a tool worth considering for Giant Warrior : for example, if you can manage to Charge an Arcane Giant, then follow up with Faceless Manipulator, make two trades, and then Blood Warriors, possibly followed by more Giants...
Still, the card disadvantage is annoying (although the charging minion may produce more ressource from Battle Rage / Blood Warriors). So, it's probably not a great tool for control Warrior*.
*although it can be gamechanging when combined with Alexstrasza : killing a minion AND healing yourself is so much more viable than just healing yourself...
Nice combo's but in order to play magnataur alpha, charge and sparring partner in the same turn, you'll need to use 7 mana, as well as have all these cards in your hand. Alternatively, you could just play Brawl (and hit whatever survives with your fiery war axe and or execute it).
Sure there are some nice combo's possible (I like the Wild Pyro + Charge swipe-like combo idea someone mentioned), but I don't think it will be worth a deckslot, as charge by itself is such a dead card.

I love that they finally made this card right . RIP .

You guys are not fun, there is not just ranked in HS. Think outside the box.

Charge is a dead card now. End of story.

2 cards for a Fireball.
Or you could use it on sylvanas for instance and get instant value.
The new Charge is basically a worse Execute unless used on a minion such as Foe Reaper 4000 , Magnataur Alpha or Sylvanas Windrunner

Should you craft/disenchant (Golden) Sylvanas or Ragnaros?
