So i've been experimenting with Abominationin my control decklist as it's cheaper the Geddon, No one runs silence, Its hits Hunter, Zoo and Shaman pretty hard and it's another deathrattle bought back by N'Zoth. Climbed from rank 9 to rank 4 with 2 losses and its not felt out of place once. Serious recommendation to anyone feeling Geddon is out of place.
Since Beacher gone i use Abomination a lot in both Nzoth and Control Decks. I even play Geddon too and when it works it totally murder argo decks. The problem is, ít is a card you dont want to play on curve , you want to play when ur opponent board has 2+ minions already for maximum effectiveness. And in Nzoth when you bring him back, if your opponent has AoE , Abomination can murder your whole board. Flamestrike , priest shadow aoe combo or elemental destruction kill Abo instantly plus his deadrattle means whopping 6 aoe damage for your nzoth board lolz. It cost me quite a few games.
so this card has its pro can cons. Good at a tech card if you face a lot of hunter, shaman or zoo.
I tried runninh Abomination ( and explosive sheep) in N'zoth decks.
My opinion is highly negative. I realized Abomination is a card you play when your board is significantly worse than your opponent's. Playing Abom into N'zoth is sorta like saying "cast backstab on all your minions".
I think flamestrike is the main counter but the horrific lack of Mage is ok and against it you can just stack horrific amounts of Armour. Casting backstab on your n'zoth minions doesnt make a huge difference as they all have 5+ health. Taunt obviously helps to and there's nothing wrong with playing it on curve. Ive only seen one game where its been a massive detriment when playing against tempo warrior
