I know tempo storm says it is, but tempo storm so ya... just wondering what everyone here thinks. I've had interest in this deck and now have the dust to craft Varian and Malkorak but seems like I'm not seeing this deck around as much. Has it slipped? Still worth the dust investment?
You don't even need Varian or Malkorak, I don't see Varian much anymore(too slow and can fatigue you) and Gore howl is better anyway.
^ Don't listen to this guy, sorry but you're clueless. worried about fatigue in Tempo decks ? just what...? Varian can singlehandedly win you games and improves your control matchups considerably, Gorehowl is completely anti-tempo and is in no way, shape or form better than Malkorok in Tempo Warrior. With that out of the way.. i would say yes, definitely craft both, it's an amazingly fun deck to play, works in wild too.

Varian is amazing against midrange decks but I would prefer Rafaam over Varian against control.

The numbers don't lie, gorehowl is the most popular therefore the best. I see gorehowl everywhere but rarely see the other two options. I will not be crafting Malkorok myself since I already have gorehowl, a better card. I have Varian but he's too slow vs. aggro and vs. control he just makes you overextend into a board clear.

And i agree.
@Ace1a: You have to be an idiot to think you would play Varian before all mass removals were played. Varian is the Call of the wild for Warrior. You play him as a last resort vs control (a la deathwing), with the bonus of giving you 3 cards (between minions and spells).
Also, popularity doesn't mean shit. Yes. Gorehowl is played on most warrior control decks and mayyyyyybe in tempo, but Varian and Malkorok are basically Tempo Warrior-Only, so your theory of popularity fails.

Of course you do. They are the very essence of tempo and ensure you keep yours up (pun...) irrelevant of what happens on the board. Fatigue is not an option, since both the usual tempo warrior and his brother, the quicker and more aggressive dragon tempo warrior with the two Drakonids, aim to kill you soon - due to their rather short efficiency time span, if they reach fatigue they have already lost. Plus, Gorehowl is a 7-mana control card that's almost completely wrong in this deck.
As for Rafaam, he is usually suggested as the replacement for Varian if you don't have him, but after trying him I don't like him at all in the place of Varian. I'm a big fan of Rafaam, even using him many times in the place of Ysera in decks that needed her in the past, but it's an expensive and very anti-tempo card, and since aggro is everywhere you can't really afford that. Maybe at higher ranks close to (and in) legend things calm down a tiny bit, but in order to get there you will have used Varian already.
Both of the aforementioned tempo warrior decks are very efficient, but personally speaking I think they are tied to a lot of requirements for the win, and don't like the stress of having to meet them. And since I loathe(b) aggro, I prefer slow control decks that are more stress-free and with a better matchup average.
The deck is still great for what it's supposed to counter, which is Zoo and Shaman, while having a decent chance against Control, however the abundance of Midrange Hunters is a pain in the ass. Been stuck in rank 6 getting like, non-hunter: win. Hunter: lose 80% of the time.
Theres just 2 executes to solve two Call of the Win.
as a tempo warrior myself i find tempo warrior weaker than before, i think it is because i don't face as many shamans anymore, i crush shamans but now days all i face is cthun warrior and mid range hunter and zoo lock
I'm glad to hear that I don't need Varian or Malkorok since I don't have either, but I did have one question regarding Sir Finly...why is that card important in this deck...wouldn't the armor be beneficial rather than another hero power?

Thanks for all your feedback ahead of time.
Hmm, thanks. Perhaps ill just pull the trigger then...

Definitely a competitive deck.
i don't own malkorof and use the Doom-hogger instead(got 2 for some random rng reason)
I have Harrison Jones in one of my Tempo Warrior lists, and it's pretty much GG once you use it on Doomhammer ;)
Shaman tears are the most salty indeed :)
Nobody can be daft enough to say card x is better than card y because card x is used in more of the decks on HEARTHPWN - please tell me you're joking!
Anyway, some versions of tempo warrior don't run Varian but most do. And none of them run Gorehowl.
Back to the topic - tempo warrior is an ok deck but I don't think it's top tier. Maybe tier 2 or 3.
I personally don't like the deck much - just not one I enjoy playing with. Right now C'Thun warrior is probably the best warrior deck, that or control
Missing lethal since June 2015.

It is a very good deck while being able to remove threats while still maintaining the board.

cthun warrior is like 30/70 if not 20/80
zoo lock is 50/50
and mid range hunter is like 40/60
rank 5 is nothing , if you want to go further than that ill not recormend tempo warrior
