So I decided to celebrate the last season of Death's Bite and the passing of the current version of Patron by trying to learn it on ladder this season...mostly with not-so-great results. I'm essentially going sideways, bouncing between 17 and 15 and unable to get a streak.
Obviously I don't expect to be able to shoot up the ladder with an unfamiliar deck in the first few days of the season, and the matchups with Zoo, SecPally, and Hunter are going okay. What I'm not getting is the purportedly favorable matchup with Combo Druid.
It basically takes a decent draw and at least 6 mana to get a Patron infestation started, and in the meantime Druid is flopping out probably 2 of Shredder, Druid of the Claw, Loatheb, Emperor, etc. You take a ton of damage clearing these and basically are threatened by combo just as the deck is getting started.
Any tips? Cards that are of particular help on the mulligan? I just have no feel for the matchup yet, so any and all opinions are welcome.
