Have been winning most with this type of deck (similar to what gnmish played in IEM tournie), but today its been utter rubbish, lost every game
Yeah I had a really tough outing this morning, lost quite a few games and lost some ranks, going to try some more a bit later this evening but yeah pretty much got destroyed today so far
EDIT: Made an anti rush druid deck and have been shredding it back up, for now i'd stay away from zoo and just play a druid deck or something
The "Zoo" deck has always been a bit *meh* to me, sure it makes good use of Defender of Argus and Doomguard, but it's not like other good Warlock decks can't utilise it better nor have better low-costed minions on the board (Basically, I still think Murloc Warlock is harder to face 0_o).
My (admittedly brief) experiences on ladder recently have been more in line with Rush Hunters re-emerging as being more played.

Yep, Hunter is really popular on the ladder right now. Ancient Watcher Druid ftw.
As far as murloc, mehh, I feel like murloc is just more inconsistent than the Zoo deck, basically the way I see it is with a good draw the murloc deck ends the game by turn 4, but with a bad draw they pretty much lost, where as Zoo is built in a way where you can make some decent plays even with a bad hand and cards like Soulfire, Doomguard, and even +2 atk buffing can flip the game around quickly, Dunno though, I do agree, Murloc deck is scary :)
I am currently playing this deck and also struggle to get to level 2. I think The Black Knight or some other silencer is needed to deal with the increased taunts that are see lately.
While they stop you taunts also help a lot. Here is a funny pic from today. I won the turn after - it was a sweet victory:

Haha that's awesome.
Yeah it's possible that some kind of removal is needed, but usually a doomguard or argent commander can run through a taunt. Something like Ancient of War or like Sunwalker/Tirion would be good targets for Black Knight though. Not sure what you could cut for a black knight though without sacrificing consistency
Thats pretty awesome lol. Always looking to improve my game. If you or anyone else wants to play together send me a PM! Literally have no one who plays HS on my friends list.
Some people really like him in this deck but I don't really like him. If need be, Doomguard and/or argent commander can act as a finisher, but the good thing about them is since theyre so durable they can be used (and their main function is) to remove big baddies from the other side of the field. The way you generally win games with this deck is controlling the board and just overwhelming your opponent, so a "finisher" is usually not required to win, and drawing Leeroy at any other time than when you need him to win makes him a dead card. And you'll probably eventually want to play doomguard and if leeroy was sitting in your hand all game he'll just get discarded.
Other people love using him and power overwhelming as a 10 dmg finisher, which is a fairly strong punch I suppose but I just don't like having 2 dead cards in the Zoo deck
I'm not playing the exact deck, but anyways I have been running into almost exclusively mages and it seems like a terrible matchup with their removal. Obviously mage is generally considered a weak constructed class so maybe I've been having bad luck.

If I start to see mage I usually like to throw in Faerie Dragon instead of Amani, small change but if you drop a 3/2 early and he'd nromally frost bolt it, he can't do that to faerie dragon so it helps with that. TBH over the last few days I am 12-0 against mages at rank 3-5 ish

Got to rank 1 with 1 star but then proceeded to lose consecutive games and back to rank 3 I go. Deck seemed to be working well but all the match ups I beat going up the ladder are the same ones I lost to going down so I don't really know what else I could have done I guess I got lucky then unlucky.

You are free...to do as we tell you!
How did you win the turn after vs. that? lol. Makes me so sad, almost 600 wins and no matter how much I play I can't do better than Rank 12. Sigh :(
Ragnaros can't attack, he's just an RNG 8 damage to any enemy character. There are 2 minions with taunt. Warrior must have had a wretched hand.
Yes. It was RNG that helped me this time.
That turn I hit him to the face. The Defender of Argus died at the end of the turn. Than the taunts stopped Alexstrasza and Grommash Hellscream to kill me and Ragnaros the Firelord hit my face leaving me at 1 life. Than armored up to have 5 + 2 health. I drew a Doomguard and together with the Abusive Sergeant hit him for 7 to the face.

Would Leeroy Jenkins work here?

Yeah but Power Overwhelming can be used on any minion as a finisher. Doomguard, Argent Commander, etc. Ill try it, and see if I like the difference.
yeah, faerie dragon seems like a good idea.
On a second note, how about Blood Knight?
I was using blood knight and it was awesome, then switched it out. Im running some pretty standard list with few modifications and im rank 8 :D

Yeah I don't know whats up with this deck, I'll win like 10 in a row then lose 8 straight..
I just hit 6 :D I guess you have to stop playing when you start to see many consecutive classes that make you lose.
