Hey guys, I just got all the card needed and started playing Renolock. I invested in the deck because I felt like it was a save investment for someone who plays for periods of time. If I'll ever take a break from the game and I'll come back let's say a few months later I feel like a still have a viable deck this way :)
Everyone on the internet everyone says it's high tier 2 right now or even tier 1. This is where my problem comes in. I seem to hover around rank 5/4 and can't seem to climb. I know. It's probably me, not the deck.
I created this threat to share tips and strategy's with each other for everyone who plays Renolock :) so all tips are welcome!

in the control matchup, learning how to deal with fatigue is incredibly important. you have to hole onto resources. and make the most of your AOE. you win by having more cards than your opponent. and staying ahead in healing with your hero power
I've actually found Rin to be a staple in my Renolock recently. I've even teched in a Dark Pact to ensure the kill on it. With that being said, its fairly dependent on your matchups. Around ranks 3-1 i faced quite a bit of control, and found the Rin to be the sole win condition I went for. Agree that shadow flame is probably a safe craft/addition in replacement of corrupting mist. Also agree sludge belcher is probably a good inclusion. Any other questions i'd be happy to help in any way i can, good luck!! :)
Wow thanks for the input guys! I created this thread for renoplayers to share their experience. So if you guys have any tips questions or comments go ahead and drop it here :) I'll try swapping the corrupted mist for the shadow flame. What should I swap for Rin?
Maybe if you could describe what you are struggling against it would be easier to give tips. Do you see yourself lose to combo more than control? Or are aggro-decks a problem? Do you lose mirror matches? Why ,is it in fatigue or are you getting overwhelmed on board? The more Info you give, the easier it is to help ;)
I don't really know if there's a particular problem when playing. I'll start tracking as soon as I can so I have matchup rates to share. I wonder what makes a good Renolock player good. any general tips on playing the deck would be really welcome but don't get me wrong. I did not create this threat to only ask questions about my list and skill. it's a place for Renolock players to gather and share knowledge about the deck :)

Personally, I dont think rin and sylvanas are that important in the deck, since rin takes a lot of time and space and is quite hard to activate the full effect. and tinkmaster just works wonders, a lot better than sylvanas against big priest and such, so i suggest we include tinkmaster as well
I've been playing a lot of Renolock myself since TGT, and below is the list I currently really like to play. It is a total highlander with Krul the Unshackled as well. I personally love to play the card, and It has many time's saved my day. The list is totally different from your list though ;).
I don't run N'zoth because I don't really like the card. I also dont own Zola and Rin.
The overall plan of the deck is to get a bunch of demons on your hand, summon them with Krul and then revive them with the DK. I think I should probably add an ooze not quite sure yet what to kick out of the deck for it. Maybe demonic project since (combo) druids arenot as common anymore.
Cards I cut because I thought they didnot perform well enough: Lich king, Thaurissan, Sludge Belcher, Felfire Potion (though it had some great moments), Leroy + Faceless manipulator combo and Imp-losion (anti synergistic with the DK)
I have RenoLock too and yes I agree most of the time Rin is useless and sometimes only become 3/6 and taunt. But I don't have Zola so I change it to Baleful which is useful in fatigue matchup, you can Brann>Kazakus>Baleful Banker. And for me I never cut MCT or Dirty Rat, remember the Meme but powerful combo when enemy have at least 3 minions just Brann>Dirty Rat>MCT especially when there's a lot Exodia Paladin in wild (well at least for me). Well sometimes I even use Void Contract for all in lmao
Atm I am running a Mecha'thun-Version (including Hemet) and I am pretty happy with it. Works just like a "normal" renolock against aggro and against control you have the thun as finisher.

I miss both Hemet and Mecha'thun so I cannot run it in my Renolock but for sure is a great winning condition against slow/control decks! I guess you just run BloodBloom, Cataclysm, Mechathun + Emperor Thaurissian, correct?

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
ye! that's true! but can you be more specific? should I carefully tap in those games? and in the mirror, do you want to be the attacker or defender?

hey that's great! I found that Rin is a dead card pretty often. Would you recommend running it?
EDIT: This is my list, is it ok? are there any changes to be made? Maybe swap the corrupting mist for a shadow flame?

Swap that corrupting mist for a shadow flame asap! Too stronk synergy with Sylvanas.
No Sludge Belcher? I would drop that shadow bolt and demonwrath to put that lovely beast in.

BGH,MCT, Demonwrath out.
dirty rat, belche, deathlord in.

Let me know what you think about it..
Check out my latest deck creation: Big beasts Druid!
Question to all
-what you mulligan if you sure you face aggro?
-when you play dirty vs control?
Advice for Original Poster
-the weakest card from your decklist for me is Demonwrath.i would swap for Curse of Weakness.
-I would swap Big Game Hunter for Blastcrystal Potion - another synergy with sylvanas
sharing my homebrew version - best renolock vs aggro, worse vs combo, but I'm having great satisfation, whenever cast Void Contract.
This here is my version of Renolock:

I do second the advice to swap BGH for blastcrystal potion.
Against aggro I personally like to run a mortal coil and a dark peddler.
i swapped the BGH for blast crystal potion and it works pretty good :) I swapped out rin too for a dirty rat!
