I started playing control warlock again tonight as I facing a ton of aggro and kept loosing mainly based on getting the slower start.
I decided to build a wall once again... it's been working a treat so far.
I know there are other control decks and stuff though so maybe adding Rin is a good idea? I don't think I want Zihi in here as I could gimp myself more than anything.... what do you guys think, please?
yeah I already have skull. (i had the wrong list uploaded before. it was a howlfiend one by mistake)
any ideas what I should cut for rin? this is my first trime playing control warlock in a few months so I'm not 100%. I think the sac pact is for if they get jaraxxus with the switch or something. nice trick though.
I was thinking about taking out geist for rin, I'm not sure which one cost cards can wreck me right now. I know theres an odd paladin that has liam, but doesn't it only kill the spells? maybe some priest decks and stuff as well use 1 cost spells.
I honestly don't know what you'd drop for rin. maybe zola.
Be careful playing through Rin and the seals with Skull of the Manari active...
yeah ha ha, I found out that the hard way back in K&C when I first built the deck.
it's funny like most of the cards are still the same ones from K&C, control lock might take a hit after the next rotation unless we get some cool stuff in the next expac.
lets hope they print void lord's dad or something. "don't talk to me or my son(s) ever again" spits out 3 void lord when dies.

Yea Cut the Skulking Geist and add Rin . and if you do that then cut demonic project for 2 mana minion that give 3 armor on death .
Prefer Owl over Spellbreaker for Defile synergy (much like you run Acidic over Gluttonous for Godfrey synergy). If you want to cut anything for Rin I'd certainly not make it the Geist or Project, both of which protect you from various OTK strategies (Geist also protects you from some Cube Hunter bullshit (plus trackings and Hunter's Marks as a bonus), most of Odd Rogue's burst, Warrior's Omega and Shield Slams, Druid's Naturalize and Spellstones - all round useful card). I think your best cuts are Zola (super greedy card and no prime targets for it in matchups where it would matter), Sacrificial Pact (cute tech but poor win rate card and the point in project is to disrupt combos, not enable a random card that's otherwise dead in 90% of games) and one Shroom Brewer (okay card but basically deck filler) to fit in Rin (topic, and gives you game against control mages/warriors) and 2 Despicable Dreadlords (in spite of the Level Up nerf, Odd Paladin is huge again with Druid out of the picture and this card solos their deck, while giving your Skull another application than "drew voidlord" or "got a Lakkari Fellhound off Sontehill"). Otherwise list seems spot on. Another consideration is Toxicologist so you can break your Skull in the instance that you want to drop Azari but had a demon-heavy hand with Skull early on (Dog was messing about with this on stream last week, I don't know how viable it is).
Everything mentioned so far seems fine, but if you still tend to lose to Aggro you could run Corpsetaker (over the Shroombrewers); as long as you don't draw Zilliax early you'll be fine.
What kind of control decks have you been seeing exactly? OTK decks seem to be a lot more popular and Rin doesn't do much against those
You're saying you're having issues vs aggro too. Maybe you should focus on beating those since that's what your deck is supposed to good against. Controlock is one of those polarized decks that will lose automatically to some things but should have an insane winrate vs the target decks to make up for it
If you really want to run Rin though, make sure to include an activator in your deck. Most decks that Rin punishes will also run silence
The thing is that there's currently barely any control decks out there though.
The only deck that wins through inevitability is odd warrior, which is a dying breed anyway.
Only other deck that even has "control" in it is Control Priest. And that deck relies on bursting you down with Shadowreaper Anduin and Mind Blast's. Rin is way too slow in that matchup.
So no, I don't think running Rin is a good idea in this current meta.

Yea Rin is always Good in Control Warlock and Skull of mannari

ofc I'm joking, that would be way too much.

This is my version btw:

Rin is a pretty easy card to include. I would definitely do so.

Rin is totally worth it vs control

I don't think Rin makes sense in this meta. Most of the decks will kill you before you destroy their deck.
thanks mate. I ended up dusting her anyway like as I needed some extra dust to re-craft patches for wild.
I've gotten some good games with her in the past and destroyed a few decks so I feel like i got my moneys worth.
