Also do I even need chaingang? I like to have plenty of taunts just in case, and with me not having void lords here, I did just that. Maybe I have went a little overkill, or is this ok?
I would normally take 2 reaver in this kind of deck as the deck is restrictive so less options, and also it has a glinda+banker so the chances of being able to have a glinda on board to play it 15 health is higher... it;s nice to have 2 sometimes I feel so you can play an earlier one if need be.
If I play a glinda deck that is similar but without Genn, I usually only take one though as there are far more tool at my disposal.
I really just depends how useful the saronite will be (as I can't use the knew spectre taunt card with echo like I would usually) it could be used in a stall out tactic with glinda to fill the board with taunts against a rogue as they don't have many ways to deal with it (or destroy aggro) at the same time doing that with 7/7 taunts is vastly superior.
So I am asking you guys and hopefully someone will be able to give me some advice.
Please feel free to critique the deck in any other aspect as well though. all reconsiderations are welcome.
Definitely cut the chain gangs. I've only seen them run in decks with synergy; usually keleseth but also Val'anyr and shudderwok. Without synergy, they are a bit underpowered and walk into AOEs and plague. They do not have synergy with Glinda the same way the 2/4 echo taunts do
My advice to you would be to pull out some successful evenlock decks, cross reference what they all have in common and compile a half-decklist from that. From there, figure out what cards you want in your Glinda package and start cutting cards from the list to make space. Glinda package is a win condition for you, so you should look to cut win conditions first. Don't put in any cards that don't exist in either list
Well, that's what you should do next time you want to build a deck that seeks to borrow from the core of already successful decks. I'm versed in the different evenlock builds so I can just tell you the chain gangs and the sunfury protectors are the ones that do not fit in either list. Sunfury has largely been cut from most evenlocks because of the recent prevalence of the black knight and rogue. If you're having issues with aggro, I suggest plated beetle instead, if not making more space for your Glinda package
Speaking of evenlock and their 2 drops, your deck looks quite low on them. Standard evenlock is full of them; their purpose is to be played out easily to empty the hand for more tapping into threats. With this few, there's a concern your hand might get clogged and your sacrifice for the Genn hero power negated. Of course, I have not tried your deck so maybe this is not actually an issue but if you happen to have hand clog issues, adding more 2s is how to fix it. Other good 2 drops in order of popularity in evenlock include: stubborn gastropod, acidic swamp ooze and tainted Zealot. You can also try Gnomefaratu as I've seen her in non-even glinda lists
As with perfecting homebrews in general, make sure to keep an eye on each of your "meme" cards. After testing out your deck for a few games, take a look at how often you're playing your fringe cards and if they really helped you win the games where they were played. Did Sea giant win you the game, or were you already in a dominating position when you played it? What about shadowflame? If not, you can look at replacing it with other things that synergize with Glinda or more survivability cards
2 reaver or 2 chaingang?
