I saw a perfect reply to threads like this posted yesterday. Cubelock is, in general, a good, healthy deck. Not carried by a single card. Voidlord is strong, dark pact, possessed lacky, skull of the Manari, doomguard, carnivorous cube, etc. It's the sum of it's parts that makes it so great. And if it's such a strong deck, why don't you guys just play it? Or something better, like aggro pally?

Some people would rather play more than 3 decks that shit on every other deck. when some archetypes are so strong and consistent that they make the rest of the cast virtually unplayable they're not healthy decks. And aggro paladin is very much the same issue.
And yes, you CAN counter cubelock with very veeeery specific counter decks, but you will instantly get shit on by literally everything else as countering cubelock requires you to put aside any hope of winning against any other deck.
the current top tier decks limit what can be played (which top tier decks generally do, but the difference in powerlevel of tier 1 and lower tier decks is abnormally high this expansion). And the worse offender is that this is a standard rotation and yet the three same types of decks are being played as last expansion, which completely beats the purpose of standard.
NO it is just creating another card not nerfing. We want to prevent card to get exploited by summoning, recruiting mechanics not totally remove from the game.
Dark Pact should only work on demons, not on the cube..
Then it's just a sacrificial pact that heals for a little more.
I would just nerf Dark Pact to heal for less while keeping the fact that it can target any friendly minions. Cube Lock relies heavily on the healing it receives from various cards, including dark pact. If the healing of Dark Pact is nerfed to just 4 health, I assure you the winrate of cubelock will go down quite a bit. A deck like cubelock is supposed to be weak to faster decks, but it's not purely because of its insane healing.
True, but the problem is that you Cube your Doomguard and have the possibility to kill it in the same turn. So you can deal 15 damage in a single turn. If you would limit Dark Pact to demons, the cube doomguard combo will be destroyed.
The combo isn't necessarily the problem. There's many combo decks out there. The problem is that combo decks usually have trouble staying alive until they can fullfill the combo, while Cubelock doesn't.
Doomguard was one of the first hs cards that I had crafted when I started playing... It was one of the most awesome flavor cards!! Still is !! ^^ ...but never was he (it) troublesome...
too fast you get toooooo much tempo... and activate even more powerful combos (again to early, too easy)...
and the prob is that you can't interact/prevent that on turn 5/6... (where Skull of the Man'ari you can destroy...)
if cubelock had only one of this "cheat-tempo" combinations (Possessed Lackey and Skull of the Man'ari) it would be bearable, less consistent and stuff...
so:: if one card (Possessed Lackey ) is problematic with many others... I vote we nerf that one...
cubelock is powerful, def... but it can wiff on draw, you can rush it... but it feels way too often soooo bad to loose against it...
don't think blizz will do anything until meta settles... so: month or two min... :)
No ... the only way the zoolock decks I pilot actually beat said cube/control warlocks is if I can burn them down in time ... which involves me using said Doomguard, so no.
i don't think you read anything.. It wouldn't affect zoo because in zoo you always play it from hand and than it has charge. (except when you summon it with guldaan.
And why wouldn't we want to keep all these protective tools that warlock can use like possessed lacky..but if cubelock can heal so much and can also burst you down that is not cool.

Wait until Cube, Dark Pact, Skull, Lackey and Voidlord rotate out. How about that? Seriously getting tired of this shit. The point of rotation is to allow strong cards to exist in standard. Sick of the wild excuse of "forever there" too. Quit beating around the bush, wild's balance is already a cluster fuck. Anyone who survived shaman stone should be laughing at all these "plz nerf warlock" threads. The class isn't that dominate. Get over it. It's grasp on the meta will only loosen further as future expansions drop.
