I see some people are not only running the standard spiritsinger package, but also have taldaram and 2 x faceless maipulatiors as well? do you guys think this is overkill?
I'm sold on taldaram for the utility the card brings, and because I actually really like the card art and stuff, it's a cool card.
I am not sure about dropping another 800 on 2 faceless manipulators though... would mountain giants not be better for some added tempo swing, maybe in place of a corridor creeper or something? (I only haver creepers in my full control version right now anyway, don't need them in doomcube)
Just looking for some last minute advice before spending dust.
Also regarding the dragon tempo priest with the archivist and summoners.. are there any legendaries that would make that deck better, or is it better just how it is?
I see you can run a super tempo package with patches and keleseth (and I have these cards) but I was thinking more something like zola the gorgon to try and copy summoners or something. I want to try more new cards, or just any legendaries that would be good in this style of deck, would love to hear about it.
Dunno about the priest deck, but regarding the warlock one:
I really hope people realize how unrewarding this combo actually is. Of course it's an overkill, you are sacrificing the consistency of your deck just to make a combo work. And don't feel like the need to continue writing a whole novel.
Look man, for some people I may have gotten pretty annoying with those pessimistic statements, but how do you imagine the meta will look like. A land of honey and milk, where you can get away with pretty much anything? The more cards are used for a combo/value card, the more the deck suffers. Now you want to get rid of the potential 3-mana taunts to make the outcome of gul'dan better...

I've been playiong the combo since the first day it surfaced on like day 2 before umbra was even added. I personally run a more control deck with the added combo in there, it only have the standard umbra combo so far.
Looking at what can be done with taladram, it looks like a great utility card. Just wondering if taking 2 faceless as well would be overkill and really starting to sacrifice space. This is what I thought, and you seem to mirror this yourself.
The giant might be good though as I always have a full hand. So Taladram and 2 x giant is probably the best call.
PS: I main warlock and always have. I know it sucks that everyone is jumping on this deck, but some people were playing it before it was popular. Just enquiring about some of the later additions, and what people think of them.
here is my current version as it stands from yesterday. Not made any changes for a few days though.
PPS: prince 3 is about way more than copying doomguards though. He can copy anything, and if it's something that needs popped, it is only a 3/3 body. It's even good for copying a patches or something.
I understand your frustration facing so many of these decks now as it seems they are the new flavour of the month, but you can't expect those of us that actually bought the skull on the first day and have been playing with it every since to stop playing a deck because it happens to be good and became popular.
2 Faceless and a Tal'darim is ok as long as you can hold vs aggro, whether or not 2 Faceless is "greedy" really depends on the average value it can get from your opponent's minions. I think you just end up cutting Siphon Souls for Faceless Manipulators, Spellbreaker for Tal'darim and Tar Creepers for Doomsayers.
Definitely overkill. One is enough, and even one is not necessarily necessary. If you're playing the version that bursts for 25 damage I'd recommend playing a more defensive list with plated beetles, nether, and siphon because you're sort of a combo deck that doesn't need to be greedy, in which case the more defensive the build the better.
I don't think Umbra is greedy really, they basically have to remove or trade into it if you play it onto an open board - it's a lot like Brann or Emperor.
1) After reading this - sorry if I have ruined your mood. I understand, I have overdone it with my downer posts.
2) The only reason why I was and I am frustrated, it is because exactly how popular this deck is. But this isn't caused by the losses I have facing this deck, but, the opposite, how easy is for me to counter it. Maybe the opponents I faced were bad ones, they constantly used the cube on the Voidlords against my control deck instead on the Doomguards, which did absolutely nothing for them, as at the end they 1) got trash from the DK, 2) couldn't do enough damage to me. 3) they put themselves in fatigue. And I barely did anything in those games, I just tried to have a board and to keep my health relatively high. Very often I knew when I should be cautious for the combo - after they played the weapon and I counter them by playing either Doomsayer or a sticky taunt. If it is the 5 mana 2/2 body, then I try to clear the body and to deny them to use the cube on the doomguard. If it is the voidlord, then they can have it all they want.
And I just can't understand how people jump exactly to this deck, which is easily counterable, whose key-components, the actual legendaries and epics, which make the deck as it is, are kinda clumsy, slow. But in the forums I see people defending it like it is the most powerful synergy ever created. How we have to add even more expensive cards, because this unbeatable combo can carry everything and actually gets better and better with every 6+ mana edition. And how those inclusions can miraculously fill the weaknesses against the MUs, where the control warlock decks were always the unfavourable ones (Highlander priest and Freeze mage {now Burn Mage}).
Once again, I will stop ruining people's threads, who are trying to discuss the deck-build around this combo. I get it's unfair from my side. (but I will spam in the threads about people asking about crafting stuff) I will only admit, that this deck is really original and it has the potential to be a really strong deck, as it has a win-condition, but just in another meta.
Inb4 if it wasn't clear enough I'm not the person, who can participate in discussions about the deck-build of this deck. Just ignore me.

I'll have to take a closer look. also just play some games with prince 3 in there over oakheart and the tar creepers and see how things go.
So someone was saying doomsayers? I was thinking this also since those 3 drop taunts are gone, they were also very useful staling fast decks. Maybe the extra removal would be beneficial.
Not sure on mistress or beetle, or whether I can even fit either in if I take doomsayers.
I'm definitely not removing n'zoth as my 2nd win condition is taunts and DK hero power if it comes to that. I took rin out as it's easier to just taunt wall up and eat face.
PS: what is the verdict on mountain giants, btw? yay or nay?
Never been a fan of Prince Taldaram, he is just too restrictive with very little payoff essentially serving the same purpose as Faceless Manipulators. Personally, I'd just run one and one. All three seems a bit too much.

well I have taldaram and umbra in the list. you think 1 faceless as well?
also what are thoughts on using mountain giants? I do often have a full hand, so can see their use on paper for sure. I don't have the cards to test though.
As far as Mountain Giants are concerned, I really like the card especially in warlock. However, I don't think there is much merit in including them in this list ~ doesn't seem handlockish enough for me :3

thanks. I'll just craft 1 faceless then and then 1 curious for my priest.
My opinion: prince is decent since you can copy cubes that have eaten doom guards and then live in the value, you can also do really fun twisting nether, defile, or Hellfire plays to while the board but end up with 20 damage in doomguards from prince and cube. I don’t like the mountain giants and faceless thou, you have to remove a lot of the cards good against Aggro which is pretty prominen. I prefer beetles for life gain and in desperate situations I have used umbra just to cube it and then after the cube dies gain a lot of armor. Also the popular versions don’t run 3 drops, some Oakheart versions run tar creepers but you have to choose one or he other the Oakheart package or the umbra package (Oakheart package is basically only for full control)

I was using the oakheart package until I got taladram, now I'm trying this out. I have been scared to play the deck now though as it's became so popular. I might switch to something else for a bit and actually build a counter deck to doomcube.
I love the deck so much, but I hate being part of any kind of "in deck" BS. I wish people would stop playing it, man.
this is where I am with the deck currently. not sure if I could use at least 12 mortal coil maybe, and was thinking about doomsayers for more removal.
I wish I still had my 1 x giant and 1 x manipulator as I could at least test them out. I don't really see the giants being needed that much though, although I can definitely see the worthwhile application as I now for one I more often than not have a full hand of cards playing this deck.
You are right though in that it's just hard to remove things for them at this point though. The mistress/beetle (whichever I go with, don't have room for both) slot could either run doomsayers or giants though I think, but I may try out beetles as it's the one thing I've never ran, and a lot of people seem to use them.
is it to negate self damage or something, without healing up the other player, too?
PS: you saying to use umbra to cube a beetle when desperate for a ton of armour? I will have to try beetles instead of mistress. what you reckon of that current list anyway?

Yeap, 1 Faceless Manipulator hits that sweet spot.

that should do for now most likely.
