Amm, I would love to try it out, this kinda sounds like a slow set-up as well, but at least it narrows down the pieces of the previous combo, which in theory should make it a bit more consistent.
Like I said, I would love to try it out, it does sound like a fun combo, now I'm kinda angry, that I've DE the only copy I had of it yesterday, just to get the 400 dust, but I think there is another flaw to that combo as well.
Void Ripper - DEMON, i.e. it can also be pulled out of the lackeys, from the weapon.
hen after dk turn u play a void ripper, even if ur board is only 6 voidwalkers and a voidlord that is still 27 dmg right there...
don't forget, that the void ripper also requires a space on the board, in order to be played
I do agree that Cubelock is struggling atm, but I wouldn't call the deck bad. Meta shifted to midrange and Razakus is still the top deck to run around with, so Cube is having a hard time. I think it might stick though.
The problem is, what I've found out recently, that I'm capable of out-valueing Cubelock with Spiteful Dragon Priest, which is crazy... As much as I think this deck has potential, I do agree it's not the beast thing to ladder with, so +1 to you guys.

cubelock isn't going anywhere, the meta shifted to counter it (and that was expected tbf)
the smartest thing to do would be to play what isn't popular. if everyone is playing cubelock, everyone else techs against it.. so play what they are not geared up to directly counter.
harder said than done, but this is how the meta is formed. People play one thing, others counter it, and so on.
I know that cubelock will remain strong, it will just evolve further. And besides it looks to be in a good place next meta if they do not purposely gimp it. It only stands to loose one possible card, and if it gets further support, it could become the next raza P.
Personally I'm not playing cubelock at the mment because it became too popular. I plan on coming back to it though at some point.
I mean I run other warlock decks that use cubes as well that are still doing great. it really throws people of when they are expecting a DG combo that never comes.. I really need some mountain giants though to help with priests before I delve back into warlock... I suggest you do the same if you plan on playing the class.
also the treachery+howlfiend+defile combo is popping up a lot right now, this deck doesn't run any of that handlock or cube stuff.
pardon me.... but how is Cube rubbish or struggling? It's one of the number ONE decks out there right now! yes it costs a shit-ton of dust to make but still. Its up there with OG miracle Rogue.. just because you cant pilot it doesn't mean it sucks.

I have no clue... Like I say I lost like ten in a row... And this deck used to be good a few weeks ago... If I don't pull my Early AOE, I just sit and watch Tempo Rogue Swarm the board... Then if I don't my weapon or my 5 mana demon, I just sit there and Struggle to stay alive... By nine I drop a Taunt. Hoping that will keep the attack at bay, and its been answered every time with silence in to vilespine or silence in to Jenkins... If u know 'how to pilot the deck' why dont u enlighten me with how I handle that? When I dont Draw my AOE? And when I dont get the weapon etc. playing zoo or whatever is so Much easier climbing...
If you actually mulligan properly for your AoE/anti aggro cards you should beat tempo rogue more often than not. But obviously bad draws do happen, and 10 games isn't exactly an outstanding sample size. Here's my two cents regarding what you should be looking for against them:
-coil(you should keep this EVERY TIME against aggro)
-librarian to(sort of) contest the board early and help draw your anti aggro cards.
-hellfire, defile. If you already have defile in hand, you can consider keeping thalnos for an easy board clear in the mid game.
-Plated beetle(if you run it)
-mistress of mixtures(if you run her)
-If you already have one or more of the aforementioned cards, you can keep lackey. In this case you can obviously also keep Dark Pact.
Tempo rogue isn't a particular facey deck, so even if you don't get any of these, you can still safely tap for the first 2-3 turns. Even if you do, it's often correct doing it if you have nothing else to do, as long as your life total isn't getting too low. If they draw spellbreaker it obviously gets trickier, but remember that you have more taunts than they have silences. Once they waste their first one, you will win if you play a second voidlord(or resummon one with gul'dan). Remember that tempo rogue doesn't have any damage from hand outside leeroy, so sticking a taunt minion to the board will win you the game regardless of how much HP you have.
Now, I am no expert in cubelock. I currently main Highlander Priest, and only play other decks for a change of pace from time to time, including cubelock, although I did play a hell of a lot of handlock when the deck was good. I do think I played it enough to back up the claim that it should beat tempo rogue. I say just keep playing the deck and hang in there. Bad draws are bound to happen, and many mistakes you are doing may become more obvious to you once you become more acquainted with the deck.
K, how about making the deck less greedy and excluding the giants?
Imho they are totally unnecessary, if some of the users here manage to get wins against Raza, then fine, but I personally prefer a less greedy approach (or better said less clumsy), so I don't bother adding them just for one MU.
this one requires a 2 turn set up, but you can get 7 doomguards out for 35 damage. it's a lot harder to set up without anything going wrong though.
you need to cube a DG, then taldaram the cube, then have 2 faceless the next turn to copy the taldaram one twice, and be able to pop them all that turn with a hellfire. This is very hard to pull off.
The umbra combo is much sinpler and I was doing it every 3 games on average as you have so much card draw.
I understand the handlock version probably has a ton more smaller combos that are fun to play, but I prefer the control variant that just has the umbra combo + taldaram as a tech card, then runs a rin control deck with void daddies for the other half.
I guess everyone has their own favourite version though, and I haven't actually played with the giants and the faceless. If I had those cards I'd just play a handlock control deck though, over using them in cubelock.

Cube warlock is basically rubbish, so no.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
Umbra isn't run in all lists. It's not a mandatory craft.
Personally I like Zalae's version of Cubelock, and his current list does not run Umbra.
