So, I recently played arena and after a pretty bad run, I go to open my pack. I saw that there was a Legendary, and lo and behold a golden Blood-Queen Lana'thel stared me in the face.
My question is, is she worth keeping at all? I know that there is a new Discolock "help" card (kinda) coming out in the next Expansion - Cataclysm , but since I never bought One night in Karazhan, I don't have two of the more important support cards for the archetype, Malchezaar's Imp and Silverware Golem .
Should I just Dust her, and craft something from the new expansion when it arrives? Opinions on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
She's pretty bad to begin with, poorly designed card. But if you don't have some important cards like the imps to support her I think there is absolutely no reason to keep her around.
If you have no plans to get the Imps or Golems then you'll probably be missing out on key pieces of the deck. Blood Queen's cool but has very narrow utility, so if you are looking to craft a better multi-deck card from the new expansion that might be a better choice.
I think she can work in the new discolock if it becomes more of a thing, but that deck isn’t going to work without the Imp or Golem, so she’s not going to give you much mileage.
Keep her ... that new 4 mana spell "destroy all minions discard hand" will help finishing the quest by alot. That weird 1 mana 1/1(Feral Gibberer) who creates more copys upon hitting face could support discard mechanic too (if you somehow manage to stick it i kinda doubt it but who knows)
I have all the pieces to discardlock (not because I crafted them...) and she is pretty good in that deck - but the deck itself is not that strong (even if fairly fun). Not sure the degree in which Cataclysm will help the archetype - but it has good potential. And apart from the quest, the extra pieces are not that much if it becomes successful (there have been discard decks without the quest in the past.)
At least hold tight before losing 1200 worth of dust...

You can dust her but only after you decide never will buy a KFT packs anymore, you risky open her again if does that.
There are some fun discard decks currently (even if they're not top tier). Next expansion because of Cataclysm you have more control over what gets removed.
Yeah, golden legendaries are wildcards. Without Kara, I'd say feel free to dust her for something that supports what you'd actually play. I'd say wait until a week or two into the next expac to prevent any knee-jerk crafting of whoops cards (looking at you, Hunter Quest), but congrats on the free dust!
(As an aside, this may be old news to you but I'd be remiss if I didn't say to take a good look at epics that you might be missing from key sets, as often four epics go a lot further to help out than one Legendary.)

keepo
Never dust cards just days before an expansion.

At least wait until all the cards are revealed.

Dust her. Won't see any play in the next meta
Dont dust her. I have her and when she lands she's good.
Plus, with the new warlock legendary, we have another card that deserves to be discarded!

Hit rank 15 with a homebrew back in the KOFT days.
Yaayyy...
There's all my notable achievements.
Keep her at least after a week of Cataclysm being in the game.

alright, guess I'm holding onto her for the time being. Lets hope she'll end up being good!
