Defile looks superstrong, but vampire is (as of yet) irrelevant. Burning a card from your opponent will rarely matter.
Yeah, so for example when you play against a control Mage (tier 1 now as far as I know), you can burn: Medivh, Alextrasza, Primordial Glyph, Fireball, Ice Block, Firelands Portal, Arcane Intellect, Frostbolt, that's basically more than half of their deck. So more than 50% chance that you burn a useful card, especially in the late game if they are waiting for some good draw.
If we only look at best case scenarios, many bad and mediocre cards will seem brilliant.

Or a better way of putting it: A 2-drop that something nice 10% of the time and 90% of the time is a river crocolisk... is not a good 2-drop.
Defile is a great card, both as design and in in-game puzzle skill.
Gnomish vampire is an horrible design cause the card itself is pretty bad (river croc if the game doesnt hit fatigue or if your opponent is playing pretty specifics combo decks) and even against that combo deck it will just be an rng clown fiesta cause you can thin his deck by one (and help him to reach his combo) or just win the game purely based on rng.
Do yourself a favour if you want to destroy enemy combos, play Dirty Rat that is a lot more efficient and less rng dependent.
Or you know, you can just play both of them 2x copies of both, and hopefully remove 4 key cards from opponents deck.
Now imagine Brann Bronzebeard along with 2x Gnomish Vampires in wild.Thats 4 cards totally removed without a huge effort.Renolock now has a chance against Jade Idol or some huge burst combo decks.
Gnomish vampire is like dirty rat with fewer steps. Imagine paying against quest mage, throwing down vampire and destroying their Antonidas. Their entire gamelan is shattered.
Warlock hero card is most likely going to be summon every (or a set number) minion you've discarded in this game. Since this effect is N'zothish hints about its 10 mana cost are probably correct. They stated that warlock hero card is going to be huge, so this is probably what it is.

Probably?, or leaked? it's 2 very different things..
I hope not cause discard is a mechanic I loathe.
BTW the gnome is overhyped AF, it's so neutral against stuff that aren't control or combo, sometimes even benefiting your opponent by getting rid of useless cards for the match up.
What I wrote is just my conclusion, I don't know anything more than you do. When mage hero card was leaked we saw warlock hero card border with number ten written in mana crystal and this expansion have a lot of discard mechanics that was very bad in the past without a doubt, I don't really think Blizzard would make more cards just like that, they've surely had something more in their minds. I am 99% sure this is going to be warlock DK card.

3 things.
1) Some mages don't run antonidas. It isn't necessary to win.
2) Milling a card is the same as a card being on the bottom. It only matters for information purposes (which goes both ways), if the deck uses tutors (and only if you destroy the final copy of the tutorable card), or if you get them to the bottom of their deck.
3) Unless Warlocks get significant healing options, mages will burn opposing warlocks out far before burning a card is relevant.
For those that think the gnome is good, let me ask something. Imagine the gnome's text read, "remove the bottom card from your opponents deck". Is the card still good? Because in this context, it's literally the same effect.
There's only one way this card could ever be useful and that's if the warlock can either see or control what's on top of their opponent's deck. We still have about 100 cards to go, so that may be possible. If not though, it's just another 2 Mana 2/3.
I really hope the DK has nothing to do with discard, or, at least, it has only indirect synergy like the Shaman DK has with freeze. I am kind of expecting it to be a discard card however mainly because if they printed a DK focused at control it would be competing with the OG Deathknight

Oh I see yeah it's actually possible, the leak did mention paladin at 9 mana and warlock at 10 since the mage was legit it seems like it's a legit source
we have ONE discard card so far though XD
the problem with the discard mechanic is that the discarding cards are quite bad mostly.. need more pay off.

Yeah you're right there's only one card with discard mechanics so far, but there was so much talk about it I was sure they've released at least 2-3 more cards :D

Guldangerous Is his name
Its 10 mana 5 armor
10 mana hero is too much. I think all should be around 5 or 6
