My record against Zoolock in rank 5 for Zoolock is like 1-14 for the last 3 days. It seems 1 early AOE is not even enough to stop them and the board is quickly snowballed against me. What is your take on Zoolock?
Zoolock is not as good as it once was, but its still a tier 2 deck and can steal wins against most decks, while also stomping decks that are considered favorable matchups. Maybe your using one such deck against it.
I usually don't have too much trouble with zoolocks, I mostly play Midrange Warrior, N'Zoth Paladin, and N'Zoth Priest. Warrior has strong board presence and have some tough taunts for Zoo to get through. Priest has a ton of aoe to clear the board, but if an excavated evil isn't drawn early, the minions can get a little out of hand.
Zoo is certainly very strong right now, it's tier 1 or 2 depending on opinions. But it's not "the best deck right now". Because there is no such thing as "the best deck", each one has it's own counters.
Honestly, It's really like a curse in this season. I used to play fairly well against zoolock and never thought Zoolock is strong. But this season I am having very very poor result against Zoolock.
Zoo is still one of the favorite decks to get top 100, but it feels weak if there are many tempo warriors in the ladder. There are not that many tempo warriors tho. As a ladder deck its definitely one of the best because the games are fast and it can win against anything.
Is it the best ladder deck? I'd say the best is either midrange Shaman or tempo Warrior, but I haven't been playing either so I don't know for sure ... My guess is that its the third best.
Not the best deck in the meta by any means, but plenty competitive and, IMO, lots of fun to play. (For some reason, I enjoy this iteration of Zoo much more than I did the pre-WOG version.)
Played it from rank 13-5 this season, but there were stretches in there where I wasn't making much headway. The deck is resilient because it can rebuild a board out of nothing quickly, but the threats themselves are not very sticky. AoE in conjunction with a decent ability to contest board with minions / weapons is usually enough to keep it down, although Zoo can sometimes win even the bad matchups just by its ability to snowball fast.
If by best you mean most grossly overrated, then yes, it is. I've lost 3games to zoo this season (no joke) playing maly and miracle rogue and a few different warrior variations. I've only lost 1 game to them in the few days I've been playing mr Hunter. Zoo does well against shaman so maybe that's what you're playing?
Reynad was the godfather of zoo so tempo storm always over ranks the deck. Their board is always full of 1/1's that die to a slight gust of wind. Even when they have 5+ Minions I don't even feel pressured. People put too much faith in the meta snapshot rankings.
I run zero taunts in my most played deck and stomp zoo, but I am playing patron with the potential to whirlwind 8 times: 2 from whirlwind, 2 from ravaging ghoul, 4 from wild pyros. So I basically have 3 or 4 board clears against zoo, and enough draw to get enough of them almost guaranteed. Other than that there are a few things with good chances but most of them cost a lot more than what I am running. Also, I am pretty sure that the otk patron is the best deck for laddering right now since as far as I can tell since it has good enough matchup against zoo and agro shaman combined as well as a good chance against anything slow other than warrior that it can deal with most of the things thrown at it in the current meta.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
I climbed all the way to legend with Zoo last season as it is the only deck I have. So I guess it's quite strong. Is the best deck out there? I don't know...

Nzoth priest, Doomsayer, Excavated, Soulpriest/Embrance + Circle do really help...
And have Flash Heals, And Darkshire to heal up
I have a 70% Win rate vs Shamans, it really depends how much value you get from the cards you use as board clear.

Freeze mage is really good against zoo but it is not a top tier deck as well.
Zoo is extremely strong right now. If you want to consistently beat it and also shamans, play tempo warrior.

Zoolock is quite powerful if you properly tech in the right cards for the job
