i know I should wait but I've been on the fence about crafting Leeroy Jenkins for awhile now. Zoo is going to change quite a bit by tomorrow but I'm thinking he is worth crafting. Doomguard always seems to discard my po. So with leeroy I get one extra attack and no discard with the battle cry so I can play my po and otk for 10 or even 14. Sometimes I feel like I lack that last little bust to finish the game. So guess is what are your thoughts or experience with Leroy. Is he a dead card in a zoo deck or worth crafting.
I love Leeroy Jenkins. He was my first legendary, and has saved me so many times. I love running a burst deck with Warlock, and Leeroy with 2 Power Overwhelming plus 1 Soulfire on turn 8 nets me 18 damage. I've used that combo again and again for winning games. Craft him!
Leeroy is good. I use him in my face decks, haven't tried in zoo. However, with Power Overwhelming, it's probably really good for a quick 10 damage burst. Look at this deck for reference; it's one I'm going to try.
There's a lot of new cards that are better than the old standard cards. Some of those cards just aren't as strong anymore...
Well the reason they were bad was because of the fact that egg and creeper made it important to have multiple minions and zoo could do that very well with implosion and their own eggs and creepers. But now that all of that is gone and the meta is less reliant on multiple minions sea giant and other card like that are probably going to be worse. That is just my reasoning.
I feel like Zoo should strive to be a little faster, since everyone (almost) will try to run high value cards and removals, and zoo just lost a huge portion of its sticky minions. I agree with Leeroy Jenkins seeing play, and Faceless Shambler seems really good as well.
But maybe you don't run Sea Giants anymore... All you have to really generate a significant board presence in order to play him is Forbidden Ritual, which is pretty suboptimal and can't be played at the same time, ever. Also, most decks seem to shy away from having huge boards, in favor of smaller boards with high value cards, which makes him even harder to play. When you think about it, Imp-losion, muster for battle, haunted creeper, etc., even when played by your opponent, those cards REALLY helped a lot when you wanted to play it, and all those things are gone.
One of my own predictions for a standard low cost minion is Faerie Dragon. It's relatively fast and, when you think about it, if most decks strive to have off board control early game (spells) and on board control mid to late game (taunts/big minions), the Dragon is likely to get some value, even if by just forcing an awkward play. It's already kinda working for me in the current meta, and I imagine it's going to perform decent in Standard.
Another card that I could see making its way not just in Zoo, but in the entire meta, is The Black Knight. Silences have been nerfed (kinda) and there are a LOT of high value taunts, so this guy will probably get a lot of value. I believe that, if the Twin Emperors really end up being as good as they seem to be, TBK will be THE counter to it.
Speaking of more expensive cards, Leeroy, Gormok and at least one Sea Giant all seem like great crafting choices for standard Zoo. They should still work well.
What are your thoughts on Lord Jaraxxus in zoo? I have been thinking about tossing it into my zoo deck as a late game finisher/heal/infinite 6/6s type card, it may only help with a few matchups, so I was wondering your thoughts on it.
PS I do have Leeroy Jenkins and I will probably craft gorm if I start playing zoo a lot again.
I am between Mukla's Champion and Leeroy Jenkins now I am not sure which one is better. I have Leeroy but it is really life saver card and Muklo is great when you have lots of minions on the board

You'll get more consistency out of Leeroy for sure. Mukla's is fine if you don't have Leeroy however. Just that Mukla's is super dependent on board state and some decks are simply too efficient at removal. Leeroy is a burst card you can play with nothing on board. Which is awesome because many people may not heal themselves in attempt to simply clear your board and leave themselves open to burst thinking they have time to stabilize.
Gormok is great, so is Leeroy. Leeroy gives you surprise lethal when opponent is at 10 health, Gormok is more about securing board control when your opponent pulls out value against your tempo advantage, usually via Druid of the Claw, Goatfucking Arakoa or any value threat (including Sylvanas, who may end up stealing at best a 4/4 against completely flooded board).
I definitely think zoo needs a huge nerf, but for now it is THE single tier 1 and easy to play deck

I would wait to craft Leeroy and here is my guess for Standard Zoolock
That's for the thoughts guys. I will try and make a deck in the next day or two. See how thing work out...

IMO gormok is a great addition. Created him on my wife's acct, and that 4 damage is so nice when some taunt is blocking lethal.
