Hi there! Been running a Druid deck for a long time, but I'm a bit tired and wanted to try Shamy. I'm getting good results (currently only rank 12, but climbing :3), and wanted to share my deck in order to get some suggestions about things I could swap (or just if you wanna try it, I think it's quite viable).
Do you see any obvious swaps? My biggest doubts are:
- Taz'Dingo (and Defender of Argus x2): I tend to find Shieldmasta quite useful, but you know, shaman and turn 4 aren't good friends. I think he's more "reliable" than Defender of Argus in many scenarios. Don't know if I should keep it like it is now, or drop DoA x1 / throw Shieldmasta. Some help here?
- 3 mana cost minions: Elemental or Golem, 1 copy of each one (like it is right now) or drop one of them and go the other x2? I'm not sure about this.
- Azure Drake x2: Maybe just run x1? I'm not sure, I think it's really good for emergency spell power and draws, but also got Thalnos / hero power spell totem for some of this scenarios. I think it's a very solid minion, but maybe there are some better options that I just can't see (I'm open to both lower or higher cost minions too).
And those are my biggest concerns, if you see any other strange/wrong stuff just tell me. As additional notes: I tried using Leeroy + Windfury, but guys... my RNG is fucking terrible, seriously, so I almost never get Leeroy with the buffs (Rockbiter/Windfury) I need to finish game, or I get them too early and die in my hand, so I swaped them for Taz'Dingo and Harvest Golem (more 4x4 cards, no need of card combo or any other optimal conditions). Same goes for Forked Lightning and my RNG, when I use it against more than 2 minions I always get the worst posible scenario (and that 2 overload hurts), so I went quite mad with that card and droped it, but I understand it can be good when facing 2 minions, so I got my doubts about it.
Any other suggestions? ^^
Thanks a lot in advance, sorry for my English, and have a nice day :)
Edit: Just wanna say you can tell me to add ANY card, I got a semi-big collection and I can craft some stuff if needed, that's not a problem! :3
If you are liking the Sen'jin Shieldmasta, it maybe worthwhile to drop a Defender of Argus for an extra one. If you don't like it, go back to two Defender of Argus. I like both cards so picking is hard. Sometimes, buffing a totem with Defender of Argus to give it one attack helps to pick off damaged minions or peel off divine shields.
Also, it is generally thought that Unbound Elementals serve as bullet magnets and are killed quickly, so either add another to function as a "soft taunt" or drop it and add another Harvest Golem. Harvest Golem is great for a 3 drop minion.
I would drop 1 card and pick up Windfury. The burst from it paired with Rockbiter Weapon on any card can be game changing. I would also drop the Big Game Hunter for Leeroy Jenkins. You already have 2 hexes and Black Knight for dealing with bigger minions. Leeroy is great for finishing the game.. It doesn't need to be a Leeroy + Windfury combo. It could be Leeroy + Faceless or Leeroy + Rockbiter + Flametounge totem. I have even droped Leeroy on turn 7 because I was going to use lightning storm anyway.
you aren't supposed to use forked lightning when there's more than two minions on the board unless you are incredibly desperate. i personally find it indispensable against aggro decks (our biggest weakness) since you can't afford to whack stuff with rockbiter/weapons against them
I think that big game and black knight is a bit much for a shaman since we already have the best big dude clear thing in the game (hex). I personally like windfury and Leeroy, but if you don't like it maybe you could go two harvest golems two unbound elementals? that would also resolve your elemental vs golem issue. If you go for two golems and two elementals, you shouldn't have a hard time finding targets for Argus either.
I think that's a really good point. I'm gonna try droping BGH and see if I don't get many Giants decks (gonna miss him in that scenarios). I'll keep TBK for now, cause sometimes I feel like Hex x2 is not enough, specially against late game control decks.
IMO, I favor black knight over BGH when playing casual since midsize taunts are often found in generally all decks and getting rid of them at midrange can give you a lot of tempo. In higher ranked plays, I favor BGH since a lot of controls love dropping giants at turns 5-6.

Good call on the Forked Lightning. I don't use it either.

Thanks a lot for all the suggestions, I'll try some of that changes and see what happens! :)
Have a nice day ^^
