What if with the hero power - you were able to CHOOSE which totem you wanted? Sometimes this can have critical make or break decisions in games...
such as having a stone totem for taunt or a wind totem for the +1 on storm or a fire totem to kill an enemy with 1 health.
This may even fix cards not used such as forked lightning - since this card really should be dealing 3 damage so it would be able take care of most 0-2 mana minions.
Please note: you would still only be able to have 1 of each totem on the board at any given time.
I voted no because it only makes the hero power better, not the class as a whole.

If you look closely, you can see this is a signature and not a comment. Why are you reading? Stop reading this. Did you read this too? Dang you must like reading.
I think Shaman's hero power is just... dumb. I think the best solution would be to remove Searing Totem - after all, that's a copy of Paladin's hero power.
Being able to pick would be amazingly OP, unless they changed the totems given by the power (DEFINITELY no +spell power).
What Shaman needs are solid early game minions, like what Paladins got with Shielded Minibot. Hopefully Blizzard addresses this issue and Shamans get some love love in the next expansion like what happened to Paladins in GvG and BRM.
They could always just buff Searing Totem. I don't think it'll be a problem that if it's buffed it'll become a (mostly) better Silver Hand Recruit because of the fact that you can't choose it when you want it. It's not a problem that it may become better than the other totems, because Blizzard has already shown they don't mind Wrath of Air Totem being the best!

Remove Searing totem... There, you have a buff. Now 1/3 chance for extra spell damage

I think that would be a little bit to good. It's just like Hunters suddenly having the option to choose which beast to summon from Animal Companion.

Have a great deck that's really, really cheap? Help the new players out

No but it does make for an interesting card idea. Perhaps a card that lets you choose which totem you play while that card is on the field.
Card Name
Blizz </3 Shaman
Something like this
Blizz </3 Shaman
maybe 3 health hard to say but ya that's pretty good.
