I built this deck today, been testing it around rank 4-5 (yes i'm stuck), after toying around with other classes like paladin and combolock i felt i needed to go back to shaman because i just love it too much.
I don't really think this deck has a bad matchup except maybe freeze mage or priest. There is no tech to increase consistency, your minions can help you be defensive or offensive, as they're all very high value. There's also no real combo-wombo, all cards are great on their own for their mana cost vs any board, although you have ways to activate the nerubian egg aswell as doomhammer + rockbiter / powermace + mechs etc. Almost all minions are insane with flametongue totem, but they're still great without it.
If sh*t hits the fan there's still Hex and other removal, plus a storm that you shouldn't really need, except maybe to clear a snake trap or mustard. Try it out and give me your impressions, as there's more room for improvement for sure.

My comments refer mostly to the wild format.
