I don't have the numbers yet because I don't have enough matches but what I can say is that I am slowly advancing at D5-D4 ranking (without win bonus) while with elementals I was regularly pushed back to the bottom.
The main advantage I notice with this deck is the draw potential, especially if you manage to buff mana tide totem (with hammer, reflection or Eys'or). With pure elemental decks I was always running out of steam. The other thing is you don't take as much face damage as opposed to when you use the full weapon package and you rely more on your minions. You have nice combos like Runic Carvings + Totemcarver for examples or Ey'sor + Totemic Reflection.
Mage is my main problem because of devolving missiles, which is a total killer.

Well, with any luck there will be fewer mages about these days... so far I've been seeing a lot more face decks and a bit more variety on ladder, so we'll see how it goes.
I don't think Totem Shaman can be a competitve deck in the current state, it just lost too much with rotation, both 0 cost buffs and the axe were the cards that allowed Totem Shaman to kill people somewhat fast you should also prolly run the new 3 mana omnibuff (the one that also gives murlocs extra +1/+1) cause your main strategy looks like going wide. Also consider running Lightning Bolt as it's just better than Al'Akir.
This list looks interesting, combining elementals and totems. How is your win rate, exactly?
I'm combining totems with the corrupt package for Shaman. Instead of using totems for a token deck, I just use them for survival. Ey'sor is really strong, and totemic reflection is just a good spell even if I can't combo it with Ey'sor.
The problem with Shaman decks to me is how you have to use every legendary possible, even the more niche ones, because good cards are often lacking, that's why the class can't find much consistent success.

I love you Dreadsteed, I will never disenchant you!

No this is not the spirit of the deck. It’s not the classic totem shaman going wide. First of all we’ve lost the weapon that allowed us to go wide second we’ve lost board buffs like storms wrath and bloodlust. The new murloc spell? Lol you gotta be kidding. It’s terrible for its cost. So going wide is not an option. This is more like a tempo deck that uses totem synergy for buffing minions: Ey’sor, totem reflection, totemcarver, etc

I have tried several shaman variations in this expansion and totems are still giving me the highest WR
I still like totem shaman, but I haven't found much success with it yet.

And this is still better than full on elementals with face/weapon damage?

I'll give this list a whirl, though. :)
Just meh, not so bad but not so good for an entire build around. don't know, shaman could be the next class out of the game hahahahaha
