The expansion just got released and meta is already mages and paladins.
Ok, the rhyming stops there.
The top three classes of hearthstone are paladin, mage and hunter. Everything else is just low sub 50% winrate. Deja vu, i think i been in this place before, 500,000 times.
Mage, Paladin, Rogue and Hunter have strong decks. Control Warlock is close and so are the two Druid decks.
"Miracle" Priest and OtK DH are also strong, but complicated and very easy to misplay.
Doomhammer Shaman seems ok, but not good enough. Will probably be fine after the nerfs.
The metagame is not as bad as people make it out to be. The problem is that there are too many strong anti-fun cards. I expect a very nice meta after the nerfs.

EXACTLY. Also most of shaman cards don't support well each other, spell power is too slow because overload,_ Murloc is too weak. Totems lost their cheap buff spells and weapons. Dragons synergy doesn't exists (thank god) But my point is, after the expansion sift, there is way too little support for shaman cards, even less then before, im literally struggling to be creative with shaman, its painful as hell.
Shaman cards aren't bad. the class is missing some core cards for deckbuilding though (no card draw for combo decks or control, no finisher for aggro (doomhammer is okay I guess, but only assuming you don't face decks with ooze/ healing).
That being said, we should wait for the nerfs, I think mage and paladin are just very overpowered right now, and it's hard to figure out if shaman would do any good in a more balanced meta.
I feel its slowly shaping up into a more like rock, paper, scissor affair all over again, with Priest being the main player punishing Lunacy Mage. Which then lures out Tickatus Fans, to punish Priests.
Only Warrior main's are kinda in between the mix, feeling a bit confused and useless.
Shaman, after the nerfs hit, needs more experimentation. However, deckbuilders/streamers stay away from the class because it's not fun or entertaining to be in top deck mode in most of the games. Maybe the miniset gives us some card draw that isn't a caravan.
Spellemental is pretty cool. Has some tempo, has some board clear, has some value generation, has some damage from hand. It lacks draw, obviously, but between overload and discover it's generally not hurting for resources until very late. No healing, which is really just an issue against spell mage right now (hopefully a big nerf makes that go away). And then it lacks the ability to build a sticky board, but that's pretty much every deck in the meta right now.
I don't think it's gonna be a great deck, but it has transform effects to deal with Pally and taunts + AOE (handles those 3/1 stealthers pretty well) to fight Rogue. Wouldn't shock me if it were a playable deck post-nerf.

That assumes that Tickatus won't be playable post nerf. I would be really surprised if Shaman found a way to deal with Tickatus.
Two to the one and one to the three.
How many bad shaman cards are there going to be?

No, Paladin, Mage and Rogue.
Hunter is viable too as it completely demolishes mages and rogues, but has no chance Vs paladins
rogue is 1% off by hunter but close enough. call it 50/50
At top legend you have almost 30% mages, 19% paladins, almost 15% rogues. Hunters? 4% (after vicioussyndicate)
No, it's not 50/50, not even close.

i thought copy pasting a word wouldn't leave a mess of a word and link spaghetti, but hey, i guess thats why quote button exists. HEHEHEEEEE

Unless Blizzard gives draw to Shaman, it is going to suck.
It just lacks draw. A nice powerful draw card and we are gtg

Ah, I forgot, this Topic was about Shaman ? Nah, Shaman sucks.
