“You can only attack minions” tag to the 5 mana evolve weapon would help. And have rush override charge. But that is coming from the opponent in me. As the shaman in me says everything is fine and people have just realized it has always been fine.
I don't have a problem with this deck, it is way less opressive than midrange shaman or prenerf Galakrond era but something bugs me with this class, never in HS history shaman have a normal presence in the ladder, or is completely gone at a point you start to forgot the class even exist or infested at the point of vomit inducing.
Why shaman never hit the mid ground?
You probably forgot about Murloc Shaman or Control Shaman (used by Hunterace to win worlds) during Rise of Shadows or Token Shaman during Un'goro. Even Shaman was alright too.
This control shaman uses Shudderwock? If yes is one of the times shaman infested the ladder but you are right about murloc and even shaman, are rare instances when shaman is not completely gone or 80% of the ladder.
This is both good and bad, as a person who has been playing shaman for while now and i own all the shaman cards, i can safely say: Shaman is a f*cking slothmachine yet again, the most rng dependent deck is back on the top, which is only good because shaman has been sh*t for a while after galagrond.
I have been paying tickutus warlock because it does what you want it to do, evolve shaman is like having 15 Trick Totem 's in your deck and see if you get high rolls or low rolls, playing evolve decks can be fun but.... THIS IS JUST BAD GAME DESIGN

Shamanstone is back again, 8 games and 5 of them against shaman, I can understand when the deck is so above of the others like old midrange and prenerf Galakrond but now? My highlander mage, a tier 4 deck, have 50% or a little more vs them, what so many players see so special about this deck?
I noticed when I played a Corrupted Strongman, when it got hit by a devolving missle it turned into a Desk Imp meaning it had the Corrupted cost of zero as its mana consideration for the devolve. It sucked but it got me thinking.
Maybe if the cheated out cards mana wise like Dread Corsair was similarly posted as a 0 mana cost on the board it would ease up on the Evolve runaway situations.
I realize this would probably have bigger consequences beyond this specific reasoning.

Yeah, for some unknown reason if you play corrupted Strongman or cards reduced by Nazmani Bloodreaver, they have their reduced cost on the board but when Shaman, out of all classes, drops reduced Dread Corsairs and Mogu Fleshshapers they have their original cost on the board.

When a card is corrupted, it becomes an entirely new card. The corrupted Strongman didn't get its cost reduced to 0, it IS a 0 mana card (if you notice, the mana cost is white, not green). That's why devolving it will turn it into another 0 cost card.

One of the consequences will be: nobody will play evolve mechanics if they can't cheat out a fatty.

This deck is all about mana cheating. Removing ONLY Lightning bloom won't be big deal cuz shaman will still have Dread Corsair, Mogu and Sea Giant.
I don't really care now what they will do with shaman this time. Hearthstone will never be good.
What I can do?
Play a normal deck and 2 of each 3 matchs is against shaman evolve, don't matter if I play 3 or 30 games.
Try to build a counter control warrior with two 4/4 pirate and two Brawl and never see a shaman again, don't matter if I play 3 or 30 games.
Something is very wrong with matching system.
This is a common thing for ages in HS
