Working on what as far as I know is new archetype. it's essentially an aggressive overload/Elemetal deck, but it's part mech and very sticky. The deck is performing well for me, but It's still in it's infancy in terms of development. I wasn't able to get many games yesterday due to EU being messed up, but I plan on trying it more tonight.
Now first off I'm not sure whether I am going to need to add the frogs for draw to this deck. The frogs are great in fast and aggressive shaman decks that have the right spells for tutoring them all out of your deck. Right now I am just testing stuff, and I want to see how the deck does without them first.
Other cards I have considered, and will testing are. Henchclan Hag as she is not only a token generator, but the tokens are amalgams which are incredibly useful to us. Hagatha the witch might be considered, but for now I'm not playing her as she is anti synergistic with tokens.
Now the idea of the deck is pretty simple really. We play like an aggressive overload deck, we try and get an amalgam to stick on 3 and then start to magnetize it. Ideally you want to get a replicating menace on an amalgam on 4 or or a coppertail imposter on 5, to start making the board sticky. You can use soul of the Murloc as well, and I usually do, but as we just got SN1P SN4P I want to see if the deck will do fine without that other death rattle card for now.
We have both Zentimo and Electra as they're both great here. Zentimo can get you 3 x cast of Earthen Might which can be huge, you also have a big chance of hitting Elementals, as we have a few in the deck, but the adds from TH and voltaic are Elemental, as well, so there is plenty of good synergy there for board clearing and such.
You can get a rare play where you can use Electra and Zentimo together and get Earthen Might cast 6 x as well. It doesn't happen often, but it's pretty crazy when it does.
Going back to the token side of things. apart from needing to be able to make sticky boards because of warrior, it has direct synergy with Electra/Bloodlust or The Storm Bringer. I'm just not sure right now how far I need to lean into token generation to get the right amount of sticky, but this is something I'm currently testing at the moment.
Anyway, I think I have covered everything pretty much. This is my first attempt at making a SN1P SN4P Shaman, and I also have both of the 2 buffed cards in here as well, deck works great, I am still in early stages of testing though and I might be changing things. This depends on whether I feel I need the draw from the frogs or not, they will be the thing I am most likely to add.
I am having trouble uploading decks here at the minute, so I will just copy and paste the deck list for you.
Please feel free to offer any suggestions or your thoughts on my deck. thanks.
I think maybe I should run the cheap silence spell over hex as it's way cheaper, or is hex better? I'm just thinking about triples with Zentimo. I guess the Hex can put more out of action than the silence can. You can nullify 3 big minions that way if their positioning allows for it. thing is that's like a 7 mana play and might be too slow for the deck, will just have to see.
I usually run both, but when you're running the overload package there isn't a lot of room for extra spells. (I have a version that does murloc things instead of the overload stuff and this is very good as well, I just wanted to play thunderhead as it was buffed, so made this deck to use SN1P SN4P and both of the buffed cards pretty much)
really just need to fine tune now. and possibly add frogs for drawing. Just need to see if I end up gimped without draw, it's not happened yet, but I imagine it can and will happen. I think this can happen even without the frogs though, so really just a case of testing out a version with them I think.
I changed a few cards. I took out the feral's and the likkim for a second voltaic and to put the 2x soul of the murlocs back in again. this way the deck is even more sticky than it was previously. also voltaic has great synergy with the storm bringer, so this is one occasion where actually running 2 is a good idea.
