However, it's still a super bad tempo card but you can potentially get two extra lives with Nozari and Shuddy or massives Walking Fountain with the help of Emeriss.
Deathwing : Deadcard vs Control unless you somehow have an empty hand (deep fatigue), could insta kill aggro-ish deck if you're not dead. Emeriss : Great value, especially with random Eureka! Kalecgos : Simple value. Nozari : Laugh at Bomb Warrior. Alexstrasza : Secret 2TK, stalling, who knows. Malygos : Big guy, left unanwsered, he can serve. Nozdormu : Time to troll ! Onyxia : Ever wanted to get use of those useless The Storm Bringer and Bloodlust ? Ysera : More cards, always good. Crowd Roaster : Never bad given you can enable it. Nightscale Matriarch : Waste those precious Witch's Brew to fill your board. Carrion Drake : Ruthless, you have tons of way to kill one thing and get this. Dragonmaw Scorcher : Can be really juicy. Emberscale Drake : Fre 5HP given you can enable it. Twilight Drake : Almost guaranteed to have over 8 HP at later stages. Bronze Herald : Hagatha's best winged friend(s). Marsh Drake : Bad. Faerie Dragon : Must be AOE cleared or traded, provide a spell for 2 mana.
I think control Shaman already has a tough time narrowing the decklist down to 30 with cards that will always have value, rather than add in a card (or a couple) that give very situational value
The main issue is that the card has no attack. In itself the value of the card is terrible. Bone Drake was played in nearly every Dragon deck because it gave you a 6/5 on the board. Yes Hagatha and scheme can kill it. That's all that can really kill it for Shaman. You'd either need to buff it or give it Taunt. That makes it unreliable as to when you get a Dragon. It just doesn't do anything by itself and it's a terrible card to draw.
Maybe some kind of value Dragon deck with Da Undatakah or something is a possibility but right now playing a 0 attack minion that only adds a random Dragon to your hand is just not worth it. Bone Drake was the working version of this. (and yes, I miss it)
Since RoS has landed, there's a card that became quite valuable for Shaman :Swamp Dragon Egg.
On the bright side : it can be killed with either Hagatha the Witch or Hagatha's Scheme, over half of the dragon pool are battlecry and most of them empower Shudderwock. It can cheaply generate a spell through Hagatha the Witch and to some extent to you can get value from it thanks to Swampqueen Hagatha with things like Rockbiter Weapon or Ancestral Healing.
