Just got the shamman Muckmorpher deck from whizbang and i was actually quite impressed with the card's potential, that deck is insane despite running some janky stuff.
My version is lower on creatures. Nothin without immidate effect only the more powerful ones. And also not on direct damage to face with lava bursts so no magylos and zentimo. I have a bit more low cost defence with wolves and likkim. The only thing i am a bit worried is deck consistency due to lack of draw mechanic. But testign will show. the potential is very strong. I recognized the premade deck is already quite good but as usuall needs good tweaking.
Below you can see my idea of Muckmorpher Shaman. The single copy of Spirit of the Frog lets you cycle through the deck real quick, even though it somewhat messes up the consistency of Muckmorpher. Any suggestions, folks?
I also thought of the spirit but i think it messes up too much. I kept the muck targes low and even don´t use ysera. I also left out witch brew and rely on the walking fountains. Early defence with likkim. Maybe it´s right to leave the whirlewind tempest option.
Idk about not running Malygos though, There is no infinite amount of threats in the deck and it can still provide a good game-ending burst of damage (Eureka! -> Malygos -> 2x Lightning Bolt + 2 x Totemic Smash = 30 damage for 10 mana). Here's my version:
i have the feeling that magylos is unreliable. Also Mountseller has no immidiate effect and it´s the strong part if there is one. So cards with rush and charge + divine shield work well.
I was hype for a muckmorpher deck (into walking fountain) until I realised it has anti synergy with every tech cards I want to play (like Ooze to destroy wagglepick, or Mctech to slow down Token druids and zoos).
so it's a nope for me, you need at least to tech the ooze because of toggwaggle pick and the bomb wrench in warrior.
That being said, if you can reach turn 5 somehow, you can come back pretty hard if you get a walking fountain with muckmorpher...
Muckmorpher is definitely an insane build around card, but the problem with it is simple: There aren't enough good big minions to drive it to the "insane" spot, Zilliax, Al'Akir and Walking Fountain are all fantastic choices but they have 1 thing in common, they are all anti-aggro options (Not so much Al'akir but it can control the board and if not 8 damage face is still insane) but on the other side, the value side, you're lacking, Ysera is the classic value minion and people tend to panic hard when they see her but she can't win control match-ups on her own most times and then Big Bad Archmage is also pretty decent but not busted enough to pull the deck to the level it needs for it to be broken.
What I'm trying to say here is that there needs to be better minions than Ysera and Big Bad Archmage that can also pull through on the control match-ups because the deck that utilizes Muckmorpher can win aggro match-ups without too much trouble but control is the real problem, you don't got enough resources to win those games, and the real problem is that there aren't really any other big minions to put in this deck other than Yseraand Big Bad Archmage. This is also because in practice, Eureka! and Muckmorpher have a conflict, because with Eureka! you want to cheat out mana cost, the more expensive the better so if for example you get a Deathwing on the board for 4 less mana and without the negative battlecry then it seems pretty solid but out of Muckmorpher is nothing more than a vainilla 4/4 for 5 which is horrendous. A tier 1/ top tier 2 Big Shaman needs the balance beween minions with amazing text that you want out of Muckmorpher and that help you cheat at least a solid 2 mana through Eureka!.
As a final note I feel like the whole deck in general needs at least one more solid AoE clear, this is because while Hagatha's Scheme is insane (Maybe even busted on some games) you definitely need to consistently draw it on your first 2 turns for it to put on some work, it's not like Volcano which could win you the game on turn 5 regardless if you just top-decked it, there are games where I can't find Hagatha's Scheme early and even aggro can roll you through.

that explains a lot actually, my how times have changed, i remember when Volcano was revealed how most people were calling it thrash because it also "cleared your own minions", and now the card is actually missed
Muckmorpher Shaman is a good deck, and an interesting concept with a few ways to work it. (Anti-aggro, Malygos, Mountseller, Value Archmage) But as it is with the cards in Standard, as Mackie says, the value it generates isn't good enough to beat a Control Warrior or Control Shaman. Between that and the Walking Fountain, the deck's best use is in being an interesting way to counter aggro, I think. For which it's pretty good, but... to make it worthwhile, you should tech the deck entirely towards countering aggro, and then it's somewhat worthless (more worthless, to be frank) against control matchups.
Because it's not the best at beating either aggro or control, I've stopped using the deck. While it's fun, it's also unsatisfying to queue into whichever type you're not teched for and know that you have no chance of winning. Control Shaman is still interesting to build, better overall, and still fun!
I don't think the archetype is lacking in value. That's why you should play cards such as Big Bad Voodoo, Ancestral Spirit (yea, both can be countered by Silence or Bounce effects but that's the supposed achilles heel) or Mutate. That's why I don't always play Muckmorpher on turn 5, unless it got hit by Far Sight and/or can be coupled with one of the aforementioned cards. Remember, the Muck itself is just a 4/4 on board but it keeps the targets cost! So, if it turns into Ysera you'll get a random 10-drop instead of a 6-drop when coupled with BBV. That's a huge Tempo swing unless your opponent somehow counters your strategy. I already won a few games just by smashing my 4/4 Walking Fountain into the opponents Taunt and afterwards a random King Krush sealed the deal.
To help with cycling through my deck I put in the singly copy of Spirit of the Frog. Yea, sometimes the Muck chooses it as a target but I'm okay with that since a 5 mana 4/4 pseudo-Gadgetzan Auctioneer in stealth mode is broken given a good spell mana curve.

Let the "pros" speak for themselves. I too think this minion is good...
Played it in a Malygos deck, it's decent if it works xd

no time to try but theocrafted ;-). Unfortunately i did´t draw a muckmorpher .... I got walock epics and flying carpes 4 times ....
especially because it doesn't morph into the other morpher OP

And people underestimate the 0 mana Mutate ;-)
Best big Shaman deck:

i have about a 65% winrate with my big shammy list that ive been experimenting with

Does the Exotic Mountseller work out?

Muckmorpher took me to rank 5 and then it stopped working. It gets obliterated by tempo rogue and token druid
I would love to try out Muckmorpher Shaman, but can't afford to craft a bunch of Epics for a deck I'm not sure will be good ...

Kripp made a video on it. I would try it out if I ever opened it in a pack...
