I've made the previous cards review based on shaman only (Rastakhan's Rumble) since I barely play any other class. Shaman is the only class that is level 60 on my account.
Now this expansion has disappointed me since Murloc shaman was almost never a thing for me, I played the game since the beta. So anyway, let's move on to the new Shaman cards! The cards order will be random though.
Sludge Slurper
This one is pretty okay, because you can play it in the early or mid game and get the lackey pretty quickly at the cost of small overload, just for 2 mana, and if you're lucky enough to get what you want, a lackey might give you a great tempo boost. And to be honest, all lackeys are actually pretty good.
This is also a good card to get it from the murloc generator such as the murloc quest and Underbelly Angler. A sweet card to get it.
Hagatha's Scheme
Now this card is just awesome. Once they hold this card for more like 8 turns, you will able to able board clear 8/8 minions and more, that's something what Shaman can't do besides his Volcano. Also, Volcano is terrible in late game when the enemy board is fillled like Gul'dan's death knight. This card is bonkers.
It's an excellent card for sure. Now, every other control classes are jealous of Shaman now just because of this card. Even holding it for 3 turns would make this card playable.
Underbelly Angler
I'm not a fan of murlocs, was never a fan of them. And I don't see it can work in murloc decks, but it's certainly a value generator for a murloc decks. For the first time, this is a pretty good darn murloc for a murloc decks. But I don't think murlocs will still ever see a play. But I'll play it if it does. One bad thing about it is that it generates low value murlocs, that's why I don't think it will help murlocs much. But will pressure the enemy alot if they can't board clear them, especially if you are to infinitely generate murlocs by keep playing them!
Walking Fountain
Only playable in Big Shaman, if you don't know what's a Big Shaman, it's a weird but also good archetype, I think it's also good in standard but wild will be much better due to having more anti-aggro tools and as well as anti-combo tools (Ancestor's Call and Healing Rain).
4/8 as an 8 drop is a horrible card, no matter if it has windfury, lifesteal, or even rush. It has horrible stat to deal with large minions in late game, playing this as 8 drop feels so bad to play it. Don't ignore me right now, it's actually pretty good in Big Shaman, put this in your deck, cheat it out, and you will win instantly against aggro. But consider it that you will also have to deal with control decks in wild.
I would say, if you hate aggro, play this in Big Shaman decks, and win the game. I guaranteed you this is the best late game minion to cheat out to win against any aggro, because there are no big minions that can do this to deal with aggro alone. Except with a new card called Tunnel Blaster. Yeah, you can also add that card and Walking fountain into your deck if you hate aggro so much... that would be overkill though.
Soul of the Murloc
Yeah, murlocs die pretty easily. I don't think this will fit in. Not even fit for a murloc quest. There is a better card to play which is Call in the Finishers. I mean, why am I talking about wild? Murlocs right there in wild sucks anyway.
So where was I? This thing is beneficial for the token-based deck, and I love tokens. I'm not sure if token decks will be viable for standard, but will try nonetheless. I can't review this card much out yet. But you must add this in your deck if you're still playing token shaman as a budget deck, if that's still the thing.
Witch's Brew
This is a pretty bad card, we saw a familiar card from Whispers of the Old Gods and it's outdated now. I don't think this will see play. But I know the way to exploit it!
If shaman can reach fatigue or endure the game much. Combine this card and Krag'wa, the Frog. You will able to have nice package of healing, especially if you succeeded outvalue your opponent and reached the fatigue, but don't tell me this is how it works, what I just said is just a theorycraft. And if fatigue is a thing, play this with Krag'wa and you will have maximum 5 of Witch's Brews! Amazing card and I love it.
Muckmorpher
This card is definitely a support for Big Shaman. Not sure how it works, but there are new cards right now like Big Bad Archmage. I think it will only see play in wild format. Not going to list many cards that have synergy with this, but you can figure it out. Here are what type of cards that will make it strong:
Big cards with Deathrattles (Tunnel Blaster) and End of turn effects (Y'shaarj) I think that's about it.
I experienced it with Splitting Festeroot and Violet Wurm when this card is revealed, but it feels so bad to play it, I don't think it's worth it to add it into your deck. Hopefully, they will add more large minions with nice continuous effects or deathrattles one, but that's gonna be hard to be printed since late game minions with value growing (Lich King) tend to break the game
I love this card a lot. I'm glad they printed this card, it will have its place in a Big Shaman deck, and I do play lots of Big Shaman.
Scargill
Once again, I don't like murlocs. And this is a really boring card, however. Playing a 3-cost murlocs or higher on the turn is actually pretty good already. One murloc comes to my mind (from the wild) would be Corrupted Seer, imagine playing this on turn 5 with Scargill, that would be dope. Although this 6-drop murloc is still not worth it in your murloc decks (Still good if you're lucky to get it from murloc generators).
This card won't change the meta a lot. But it sure means it gives the definition of a tempo in mid-game, especially when playing 3-drop murlocs.
Swampqueen Hagatha
Probably the coolest legendary that stands out with Kalimos and Shudderwock. Actually... many shaman legendaries are pretty cool! Except the trash Mistcaller and Moorabi.
This minion can allow you to give you a decent 5 drop that plays two spells, it doesn't matter if the spells are bad, YOU (and yes I mean by you) you will play the best tempo 5 drop card in the entire hearthstone history! Well, probably even better than Loatheb!
The best spells you can play (including wild) are Rain of Toad, Everyfin is awesome, Bloodlust, and I think those are the only few playable large spells in the game. But if you have spells that are mediocre, you're still playing a 5 mana 5/5 minion with two spells. This is why it's the best 5 drop out there. But only if you access to this bad statted minion first to give you this best 5 drop minion in the game...
If you're playing tons of good minions that can fill the gap of Swampqueen Hagatha's bad tempo, then this card is just excellent. But it still has RNG on your side, so try to take of care that too.
Mutate
We already have Unstable evolution that if we once cast on a minion and becomes bad already, we can actually reroll the minion. However, this one does focus as tempo instead, pretty useful on Battlecry minions that need some better stat body, but that's pretty much it. You can play on Corridor Creeper, but nowadays there are some bad 8-drop minions, like really bad... Bonemare, Akali, Captain Hooktusk, Hi'reek, and more. So that's a risky move to add Mutate into your deck that contains Corridor Creeper, so it should be used on battlecry minion only that needs some tempo.
There is a comparable spell which is Big Bad Voodoo, Big Bad Voodoo was actually a pretty good card but doesn't have a place in most decks due to its expensive cost to play as a combo, which it costs 2 that is harder to play it out than the Mutate, especially if you're focusing on battlecry minion. Still, the Big Bad Voodoo has succeeded on my Zentimo decks and it was pretty fun, but I don't play that card anymore. I'm sure I would have the same fun level when I play Mutate on certain decks.
I don't care if he won't receive broken cards. Everyone received trash cards anyway (except for few ones). I'll just try out token or big shaman with new tools! I may think about maining the other class since Shaman isn't going to be fantastic this expansion... I don't really care much about murlocs that are going to dominate the meta, it's just that I don't play murlocs very much.
I don't think Walking Fountain is that bad of a card, it can potentially kill two smaller minions and the healing is good. But I'd only run it as a one of.
And I think that if there's one card that could make murloc shaman somewhat viable (until everyone runs Hungry Crab), it's definitely Underbelly Angler. Insane value.

Same here, first-day craft! And best AoE spell has been given to Shaman! Woohoo.
You might be right, but I still don't like the 4/8 statted minion. I think Underbelly Angler is alright, I just said it was the very first good murloc ever made!

Corridor Creeper is rotating, also I think Mutate will feel good to get from Hagatha the Witch so that you can evolve your Shudderwock and Swampqueen Hagatha into better statted minions.
