Hello people and shaman players. I will give a review on the new cards from upcoming expansion. This is my first review on any expansion, I hope my writing does not confuses you.
We will start with common cards.
Totemic Smash
I still think "Zap!" would see a lot of play more than this card due to lot of support already added to overload archetype such as Thunderhead and Tunnel Trogg, and I don't think the totem archetype exists anymore.
On the other hand, we can now OTK with Malygos without preparing so much setup anymore, Eureka (costs 6) + Double Lighting Bolt (total costs 2, 16 damage) + Double Totemic Smash (total costs 2, 14 damage) = 30 damage.
In reality by this card alone, will it see play? If there is an aggro shaman without overload-based card,Totemic Smash will provide too little value... although the overkill may keep up the good value through early game to keep up the tempo, if the totem is valuable enough for shaman... the good thing is that it doesn't have overload, plus it's the only 1-cost spell that has 2 damage.
Still not meta-defining card. I will tell further more in Spirit of the Frog card.
Rain of Toads
The card is just seems pretty strong. It gives you three taunt minions on the board on turn 6 for a wide board control, pretty sweet. It should definitely go to many archetypes of shaman unless Mossy Horror steps into Rastakhan's arena. Also, finally we have a great 6 mana spell that is great on it's own!
The new common card was revealed after this thread, I've made about the new common card at the end of this original post.
Now to the rare cards
Likkim
This may seems crazy strong at first sight, but it actually isn't. But probably will be good in wild for aggro shaman, if that's still a thing.
This card will see it's action on turn 4 with +2 Attack if you equipped it on turn 2. so 3/3 weapon isn't that bad, If you have a coin, you can coin + this weapon, then next turn summon a Totem Golem, now that would be a pain in the butt to deal with it if you're against that opponent.
Bog Slosher
Weirdest shaman card I've seen in this set.
It feels pretty weird to play it, you lose tempo when you return a friendly minion to your hand, but you will gain some great play when playing low-cost minions with good battlecry and the buff of Bog Slosher. Is it worth it? I can only imagine it would work in elemental-based shaman deck, but doubt it will see lot's of play.
I'll talk about Spirit of the frog at the end of this thread, as it has lot's of synergy with spells.
Now to the epic cards.
Big Bad Voodoo
This card is the most hated of all shaman cards in this set, I can agree that it's bad, but I'll just say it's a "fair" card, which means it will see no play at all in competitive, but will see play for fun only
Say you put it on 2-mana minion with weak body stat, if it dies during that turn, it will transform into a better body stat, which means it's a better ancestral spirit. Pretty crappy in late game stage though, so it's horrible to topdeck this card. However, neither Ancestral Spirit or Big Bad Voodoo will see some play. but it is a very interesting card, not a strong card at all. I'll talk more about it in Zentimo card.
Haunting Visions
I remember that Jeweled Scarab was one of my top picked cards for shaman, because it can give you another Hex (it used to cost 3 mana), now its no longer there anymore.
I missed Jeweled Scarab so much even it did not define the meta much, the idea was the get chance to have another amazing card from shaman cards list such as Feral spirits, Lighting storm, or Hex, shaman had tons of great 3-cost mana spells. Which is why I always liked Jeweled Scarab, now we have Haunting Visions.
So this is a good news now, you can have a chance to get another huge AoE removal spell or another Hex. This is what I really wanted before! I will talk about this furthermore in Spirit of the Frog card.
Now to the legendary cards.
Zentimo
Very good card, it may be a dead card if you have only Hex in your hand, which may become an issue, so you better bring out few more single target spells for your deck... so what are the great choices for Zentimo?
Well, I'm going to say that all the spells that are underused are going to see the sunlight after Rastakhan's Rumble released, this includes Earthen Might, Big Bad Voodoo, and much more. might change the game pretty well with underused spells, I may be right.
Basically, if you have only Hex in your deck, I think you will regret crafting this card, as it won't able to help you without having it's variety of spells.
Now we see the Spirit of the Frog, that is very unique among other spirits...
Spirit of the Frog
This is really coolest card I've ever seen, period.
Anyways, you can start playing low-cost cards like Totemic Smash or Earth Shock to draw 2-cost spell, which we have lack of them in standard format, but there are great list of 2-cost spells in wild format. Then you can draw lighting storm or feral spirits... and more.
This card is too good to be existed for shaman, but this card will not draw you if you don't have great number order of all spells' mana costs in your deck. Example, you need 2-cost spell to draw 3-cost spell, etc.
Also, Haunting Vision with this card is INSANE! Because it allows you to draw hex after you cast it. After you draw hex (which costs 1 now) will now allow you to draw volcano, now that's an insane combo right here. Basically, Haunting Vision is a great setup combo for Spirit of the Frog, I can't wait to discover more ways to play between these two cards!
NEW CARDS ARE HERE: Wartbringer and Krag'wa, the Frog
Krag'wa serves as a support for playing many great spells correctly, I's better to play cards without overloading your mana crystals, so that you can play this frog by turn 6 or earlier.
Kinda disappointing to me that it does not allow you to add a minion to your hand after you play a spell. just like Hagatha. Also, This card Synergies SUPER well with Hagatha the Witch since Hagatha provides more spells if you ran out of spells from your deck.
Wartbringer reminds me of my old favorite card that I've used it during TGT: Undercity Valiant. It was my favorite rogue card because it provides good value in early game, so I'm glad this card went into shaman cards, but it's kinda super underwhelming despite it's too conditional battlecry and super small body stat.
I think it's great for controlling early board game by playing too many cheap spells, and also playing Haunting vision (again). But the main problem is... it will be so bad to topdeck this in late game, this will be a huge problem. I'd be suprised if I lost the game against this card.
So that's the final card I'll talk about. I hope you enjoyed my review!

I like elementals and totems.
I've done reviewing all cards, hope you find some interesting details about all these shaman cards. Let the rumble begin!
