They finally get some straight-up, non-cheesy, good cards. On top of that, they're Elementals.
FINALLY!
Shaman has been on a hiatus as a class from Hearthstone. Jade, Creeper and Shudderwock weren't shining examples of the class working; rather they're all just giant gimmicky combo decks and the worst examples of decks in Hearthstone all around. AI can pilot them roughly as well as an actual good player. Genn Shaman, while being different, was basically an anti-meta house of cards and not a good poster child of the class as well. Now the class actually gets some strong standalone cards! It's about time!!!
I can't wait to play Elemental/goodstuffs Shaman all the time next expansion. From what we've seen so far, the deck has to be at least decent at this point, and creative to boot. Thoughts?
What do you envision? Just a midrange shaman filled with elemental minions? Or a token druid with bloodlust? I'm not quite sure what exactly you are stoked about, because I don't see things coming together quite yet, but I do admit that the cards are pretty solid stand-alones. There isn't any new crazy synergy, but I guess all that lends itself to a midrange deck.
The real question though is if the Midrange Elemental Shaman will be better than the Average Midrange Hunter deck (filled with mechs, beasts, or both).
Really? Apart from Electra Stormsurge, shaman didn’t really get anything good. Couple ok cards that won’t be enough to lift it out of the dumpster tier it’s been in since Frozen Throne. Plus an absolutely useless legendary spell. Unless there’s a decent shudderwock deck from all the neutral battlecrys, shaman is going to be down the bottom again this expansion.
Doesn’t matter anyway. Game is completely broken with the new Druid cards. Maybe next expansion?

Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP
I have a dream that all the little black Shaman cards will be able to join hands with little white Shaman cards as sisters and brothers.
