To me it really seems like any shaman deck vs zoo is a tossup. It's just luck, either you won or you lost and it all depends on who got the better cards. It's very rare that I lose to a zoolock, and I look back at the turns and how I played and think "hmm I should have played this turn or that turn differently." I've played all kinds of shaman decks, and the only one I've ever seen actually have a legit good matchup vs them was this weird aggro shaman.
So is it possible to be favored vs zoo with something other than aggro shaman? I can throw in blechers and senjins and arguses but it really doesn't seem to matter.
And why do I even care? I never see zoo on the ladder, but jesus if I play an unranked game it's always going to be zoo. I can play shaman vs zoo all day if I play unranked and I'll still have 50% win rate at best it seems. I don't get it, I don't have a clue what I could put into a shaman deck that would really hurt zoo. Belchers and senjins definitely aren't enough. They just dark iron dwarf a small minion and kill any taunt I can play. I played earth elemental, answered with ease every time. Maybe I should just put senjin, belcher, earth, and sunwalker? Lol, ok I'll try that let's see how it goes.
i played a kind of very retroactive shaman like 2 seasons ago that had a very high winnrate against zoo and hunter (70%+), with double wild pyromancer in order to be more sure to get a board clear. beta shamans used to run wild pyro so it is a legitimate card for shaman, (it also helped to deal with miracle rogue stealthed auctioneer) . the problem of this deck is that it is mostly auto-lose against druid (35% winrate) and priest (15%....) so i use it no more. but yep zoo vs midrange shaman is just who gets the better starting hand .

What? There's plenty of Zoolocks and Face Hunters (It's still zoo) in ladder/ranked. Either ways I've fought a lot of Shamans with my Zoolock, they always tend to beat me because they'd use Feral Spirit wonderfully and have some good minions dropped early like Haunted Creepers or Zombie Chow and Undertakers. With enough spell power, Earth Shock and Lightning Bolts always killed my solid minions. They'd use Lightning Storm at the very end as a desperate measure. If you truly want more ways to kill zoo, you could always go for the old Sunfury/Ironbeak + Ancient Watchers or Pyromaniac comboes. Or you could use Forked Lightning, but I don't suggest it highly.

I guess I'm just lucky I haven't seen much zoo lol. I've been playing hunter and I think it's favored vs them anyways. I've been testing some shaman decks though to play from rank 5 onwards and I'm playing in casual and just playing zoo over and over lol. I'll try out chows and undertakers since I've never played any shaman decks with those guys in there, sounds like a good idea though.
I have run into huge amounts of zoo in the 10-20 rank range, plus tons of other agro. So much in fact, that I went from rank 11 back to rank 19 earlier in the month with y control shaman.
So, I simply made a deck to counter agro and raced (I mean RACED) back up to 11, absolutely fearsting on agro. howeer, the deck doesn't complete hat well with non-agro, so it wore out its welcome once I hit rank 11 again, as the agro dried up. Still, that was some of the most fun I have had, terrorizing agro decks.
I have made some changes to this deck, including one pyro instead of an unstable ghoul, and played with bloodlust, al'akir instead of Kel'Thazud (Al'Akir is the best, KT didn't work out that well). Too lazy to change it in the deck builder because it was a temporary deck, essentially.
