He's either a free non-golden legendary of your choice, or you can use him with some other freeze cards to just gain more value in a controldeck where you don't want draw.
if you need a certain legendary then you could always disenchant him. If not maybe just save him because you never know if he'll be good in the future. I had a golden yshaarj that i disenchanted at the beginning of old gods because he wasn't really played. Now i wish i had him to run the big priest/druid decks. But i also save the mist caller and he never saw play so really its just a coin toss. Still pretty sweet grabbing a golden legendary.
I DE my first golden leg, Cho, he is absolutely unplayable, no regrets. And still keep my other goldens, Soggoth and Voraxx. They unplayable too (Voraxx have place only in quest paladin), but I'm just waiting for next expansions for them.
He's probably going to stay bad, but I don't like dusting golden Legendary cards I don't already have unless I know exactly what card I'd craft instead. If you look at it and know immediately what other card you want, dust away.
I think he could better than Mistcaller. It seems to me like he could be nice to steal enemy minions or duplicate high value minions of your own. But I think there would have to be some new cards first. Not central to the deck but used situationally in control.
I have all of those so I think I'll hold onto him until next expansion and see if he becomes useful because it really is a cool looking card and being able to steal their cards but gold sounds fun.
Opened up a golden Moorabi yesterday. Thus spent a good day trying to get it to work at rank 10. Oh what a fool I was.
Should probably dust but ahh, theres a part of me that wonders if it might get better down the line.
- Moorabi - I suggest you read my article here (and this post here). tl; dr - this card is very slow and the effect is not really worth. Freeze shaman needs a bunch of support, so I don't think it will be strong even as a package any time soon. However knowing how blizz loves pushing deck-types, I suggest you keep him for now. Who knows, maybe in the upcoming expansion there might be some strong cards, which will make him playable.
Moorabi is bad because Control Shaman is bad, not because Moorabi won't work. Control Shaman is in a very similar situation as Warlock as a class, in that they have very good cards right now, but they're missing one or two cards to bring everything together. For Warlock, it needs a couple more good demons, better healing tailored for the class, and a way to retrieve/reshuffle discarded cards. For Shaman, I think they just need draw to give Control decks a backbone to support value-generating packages like the Freeze/Moorabi package or the Elemental/Servant of Kalimos package. Also, Shaman is missing good minions at key mana slots (an elemental 4 drop that isn't Jade Spirit and an elemental 5 drop).
Blizzard will probably push Freeze Shaman in the next few expansions (they have dedicated too many cards to it to do otherwise), so if you can afford the luxury, I would keep it.
Today, it's clearly not competitive.
they also started pushing stealth rogue, but where is the support for the MSoG set?
So when I open my packs day one I was super excited. A golden legendary! Would it be Guldan, Jaina, maybe Rotface?
Nope. Moorabi.
I don't have the cards to run a freeze giant deck so I was wondering if he's viable in any deck without them? Or, you know, at all?
Anyone think he'll be okay in later expansions?
Moorabi looks very bad.... 4/4 for 6 is just a terrible statline, synergy needs to be off the charts to include a cards like that.

golden legendary from packs IMO means " pick any legendary u want "

I kept some of my golden legendaries.
Jaraxxus because OBLIVION
Tirion because Golden Ashbringer is sexy.
Moorabi could have been cool since he'd give you gold cards but yeah he doesn't seem viable.
Lets go. Moorabi shaman to legend. :D

Golden Moorabi, also known as The Lich King, Malfurion the Pestilent, Ysera, etc.
I say keep him, but that is out of my love for trolls and their voices. All deez new troll shaman cards be makin' me happy mon!
If u freeze something with golden moorabi on board, do u get a golden copy of the frozen minion?
Kalimos, Primal Lord + Invocation of Earth + Thrall, Deathseer = The heck? Thrall, Deathseer should renamed to; Thrall, Valueseer

This is the latest iteration of a deck I’ve been trying to make work since I opened Moorabi day one.
Can produce some amazing results, or absolute trash! Never dull though!
Thanks! If you do like it do you mind giving it a thumbs up? Would it be worth doing a write up for it? Let me know!
