So for now when meta is not refined and consistent midrange shamans are still really fine. Already got rank10 on near 20 games. Well, reno or dragon priests can counter shamans greatly, but as Pirate Warrior is the most popular deck at moment there no so much priests on ladder.
As for me I removed Ragnaros, 1x wolves and one mana tide and placed 2x Acidic Swamp Ooze and 1x Jinyu Waterspeaker. Result against pirate cancer is 7-2 at moment. Also I think that placing second healer instead of wolves can improve shaman overall playability even more.
So "Greetings friend" meta is not finished yet, folks ;)
You have no right to cancer other decks if you play Midrange Shaman, even brutal turn 4 win face aggro pirate. And yes, until Renolock/Goon Paladin and Dragon Priest become meta (if), it should be still easy to win with it.

Remember playing Control Shaman with Reincarnate shenanigans? No? It was fun, here's a refresher!
I lost all my games against the Mid Range Shaman I faced last night with my Jade Golem Druid deck. It did get very close towards to end, but if I don't get my ramp and answers....I won't win against the Shaman, but I'm learning the new deck type, but the games were a lot of fun at least

Nonono) "Cancer" is a deck which goes strictly to the face no matter what, like pirates or say aggro hunter at the times of HS beta) Midrange shaman is a deck where you have to think. Time to time :D

Well, I will get my packs on Monday only, so for now I have 3k dust, but don't want to spend it on some unneded in future cards, also maybe I'll open some legendaries on my packs... So for now I'm playing quests with some fun goons or renolock decks on Casual and still shaman on Ranked )

It's a bit less autopilot than other people think. From a deckbuilding perspective it's pretty cut and dry, but the gameplay aspects in the mirror are actually skillful at times, overloading a lot on one specific turn so that you have more full mana usage two turns later. At least Mid Sham makes trades, like Zoolock. WoToG-Aggro Shaman, Face Warrior, and Face Hunter are definitely degenerate though.

Aggro Shaman, Face Warrior, and Face Hunter are also extremely all-in because they can't rely on out-valuing their opponent. With the amount of heals and board clears floating around, they're hardly degenerate since you can counter them extremely hard; no more than Midrange is degenerate for being nearly impossible to hard counter, and no more than Jade Golem decks are degenerate because they make Control players cry. On top of that they're still going to make trades (if you don't you're most likely just playing badly), just less of them in a game because your minions will never contest something later in the game; I'm not disagreeing that there are nuances to Midrange Shaman, but it's blatantly ignorant to state aggressive decks aren't on par for nuanced decisions.
People have also made it annoying habit to use cancer to describe any number of things; essentially all it boils down to is what decks are making you salty and if you like them or not personally, which makes for a horrible generic term since what I consider a cancer deck is nothing like what anyone else might.

Actually, "cancer" decks are those that have spread throughout the meta to such an extent that it chokes off a healthy variety of parity between classes and archetypes.
Because they are usually cheap and relatively easy to play, face decks often become cancer decks, but they are not necessarily the same thing.
Midrange Shaman in the current meta and Secret Paladin in the pre-standard meta are examples of other cancer decks that are not face decks.
I still have better winrates against mid shaman than against face hunter and face(tempo?) mage. Mage can just ignore the board and drop spells on your face and get away with it. The amount of games I lost vs mage where I had boardcontrol nearly the game is too damn high.
I'm in the same boat. Dunno how many times mages won just by nuking my face throughout the game.
Are we seriously putting Threads saying "its okay guys, the deck thats been on top for the last 6 months is still okay to play" thats such a jaded mindset to have, if youre being cliche and still playing midranged shaman when over 100 new cards has come into the meta, you are sad to say the least.

Exactly as Xaos73 explained. Face decks are not cancer decks. It's whatever chokes the meta and spreads around like cancer.
