"Spirit Claws 3/3 one mana weapon v. Fiery War...Warrior feels shame"
Except for Spirit Claws to be 3/3 it requires 1 mana for spirit claws and 2 mana for a 25% chance at the right totem. Also it's pretty easy to bring spirit claws down to 1/3 by killing the spellpower.
"Tunnel Trogg - one/3 buff attack multiple times if overloading multiple crystals v. Mana Wrym - just one buff per spell "
Casting a spell doesn't have any inherent drawbacks. Overloading has a negative effect on your subsequent turns. Yes you can buff your trogg to 3/3 on turn 2 by coin + feral spirit, but then you have a pretty terrible turn 3.
"Maelstrom Portal vs. Arcane Explosion"
I would chalk this up to power creep. Sure it's better than arcane explosion but there are countless examples of newer cards being stronger than the vanilla cards.
"Hex 3 mana vs. Polymorph 4 mana "
Hex leaves your opponent with a taunt which is enough of a drawback to account for the lower mana cost.
A lot of these cards aren't OP. There are pretty much equivalents to each of these cards in other class decks. The cards are fine. The issue might be that shaman has all of these options, but nothing inherently wrong with the cards.
