Shaman will be nerfed to oblivion once the standard year shifts. The class' strength comes from lots of cards that are slightly overpowered all synergizing with each other too well, not just individual cards being flat broken (though there is some of that too). In a few months, they lose Tuskarr Totemic, Totem Golem, Tunnel Trogg, Thunder Bluff Valiant, Elemental Destruction, and Ancestral Knowledge. Their ability to dominate the early game and snowball consistently will be gone, and that's the key to Shaman's success 90% of the time.
if you guys look at GVG you can tell which 3 classes had the weakest core set , 1 paladin , 2 priest , shaman
as blizzard released several great cards for this classes . I feel like their core set needs to be buffed , or the same issues will happens over and over again
ure wrong ... Control Warrior, for example, didn't get hit at all. The execute nerf hit Aggro Warrior WAY harder than control and since I counter Shaman with my spell heavy Control Warrior I don't care about that nerf at all.
I agree with all of those nerfs and I think the game will be at least a little bit more healthy when they hit. The only nerf I really don't like is Yogg.
1. I praise Yogg and I love it :D
2. The Yogg nerf is too much. Overload AND stop casting spells when he dies? One of those changes would have been sufficient ... imagine now feral spirit + elemental destruction ... 10 mana card clears the board and overloads for 7. Yogg is dead now, great unleash/buzzard nerf blizzard
Yogg was unhealthy for the game this was needed. Outplaying your opponent and lose to one card because you didn't manage to kill your opponent turn 10, it's fun the first few times then it gets old.
a nerf was unnecessary, a tournament ban was what people really wanted

i didnt get u, so if yogg would cast spells with overload so it would actually overload u next turn?
So... I think I Blizzard needs a better grammar check on their posts. Their nerf announcement says this:
In addition to the above changes, we will be addressing the bug where cards with Overload cast by Yogg-Saron, Hope’s End will not cause Overload to the player in a future update.
This imo is confusing because of the future tense of the "will" which either tells me it currently does cause overload and shouldn't, or doesn't, and should.

Nah, A lot of people including myself don't want to see it on ladder as well. Thankfully Blizzard listened to us.
Rockbiter - Harsh, haven't heard any complaints about this card, ever.. Not sure why it was singled out by Blizzard, but im dissapointed by this one. It is a staple card and has been forever.
Tuskarr - I reckon this is a knee jerk reaction.. Sure people have been whining about this card, but considering whats being rotated out soon this is pretty tough. Doesn't make it unplayable, but id like to see a push for Searing Totem having Charge to make it a little more useful.

I hate the Yogg nerf too, brother. I would have been more than happy to see it keep the same text, but kick it to Wild mode. It's really sad to see such a fun card be deleted like this. Tavern Brawl won't be the same without you buddy.
As for the rest of the thread, Shaman will be fine. It will be fine. Everything will be fine. Hate it, love it, whichever. Things are going to be fine.
Btw, why did this get moved to Shaman class discussion? Did the mod only read the title? This thread was about discussing how the nerfs effected all the other tier 1 decks, which would make Shaman even more powerful- this thread was about how the meta would change with the nerfs.
