From what ive been gatheri g from the nerfs, silence is being more costly in overall card design, so why has our earth shock not been nerfed as well, not to mention priest's 0 cost silence?

Is shaman and priest just getting "cheep silence" as class features? Or are we just awaiting our turn?

Thoughts?

 Well, priest got a 0 mana silence, so they're content to let cheap silence be a class specific thing.

Because they both aren't that good.

Owl wasn't nerfed because of silence, but because it was too cheap.

Earth shock rarely silences AND kills anything.  It can be really good against a few cards like Twillight Drake (which sees very little play), leper gnome, and argent horserider.  It won't kill things like mad scientist without spell power.  You can silence bigger things like shredder, belcher or sylvanas, but you won't outright kill them so you usually spend at least 2 cards to kill a minion which leaves you with a card disadvantage and shaman has very poor draw mechanics.  But if you want to run silence it's probably just better to run spellbreaker because at least you get a decent sized body with the silence effect.

Well they buffed shaman A LOT this expansion.. so it's probably one of the things.. there that got "Buffed"(more like everyone else got nerfed silence)
