Curious people's thoughts on the effects of the Edwin nerf, and the impending HOF of this key card, on deckbuilding with this class? I have always been a Rogue guy I just like the look of the cards and the combo mechanics, there is no class more satisfying in my opinion. Personally I may think about ways to play more Stealth rogue or Whirlkick instead of the traditional Miracle win conditions.
I always felt like Edwin was not necessary for any deck type to work, but he was just able to fit in anyway, because he's good.
Like, my favourite rogue style is secret heavy. Does Edwin have any synergy with secrets? No.
But he's in my secret deck because shadowstep, foxy fraud, preparation and evil miscreant are all there anyway, and he can round off a turn when I have the mana.
I think this is why he's getting HoF'd. If every single rogue deck can use him for no reason except he's a good card, it's time for a change.
Some aggro Rogue decks that are running Edwin (because they also run EVIL Miscreant and Foxy) will probably cut him. Otherwise, nothing will change in the most popular Rogue decks, except you will no longer get this 'oh yeah I'll win this game' feeling when you draw Edwin on turn 3 or earlier
I used an highlander deck to reach legend this season. I’ll be replacing Edwin with Prize Plunderer (mostly for the achievement) but he really wasn’t essential in that particular deck.
I don't think it effectively change anything, it is still a decent card and it'll probably be played in every rogue deck until he rotates next year. It does change gameplay wise tho. I don't think you realistically keep Edwin in the MU anymore. Even if you didn't have the Foxy Fraud + Shadowstep cheese to get a huge edwin, he still was decent as a 4/4 6/6 on turn 2 or 3 but him costing 4 mana means he only depends on getting exactly the foxy step combo to be useful in the early game.

I think there will be no changes whatsoever.

What is it you're trying to say here? All rogue players need to drop rogue and become hunters? Edwin is still better than Oblivitron?
@Biomass what highlander deck? I’m running one right now too

Basically this one (currently Plunderer instead of Agent).
