Well, not that long of a lurker since I started during Witchwood. Hence, I played Odd Rogue. And, a budget Odd Rogue at that. Only 1 Vilespine and no Leeroy.
Is anyone having any success with Odd Rogue?
I am not sure whether I'd be throwing good dust after bad if I tried to upgrade my deck a bit.
Any thoughts on the best budget deck out there? I can craft 2 legends and that's it. Not a lot of dust for this f2p player.
Should I go ahead and craft Genn? I don't care about looking like a dirty, little plebe if it will earn me some wins.
I have never played Odd Rogue but I have face quite a few of them recently. Odd Rogue was tier 1 before nerfs and dodged all the nerfs; so no reason it is unplayable now.
Odd paladin used to be a very tough and common matchup that is now very rare, but the deck also has problems with Lesser Emerald Spellstone. The deck deals very well with a lot of other metadecks, and your skill actually matters quite a lot, even though you are usually the agressor. I would personally craft Leeroy Jenkins and a 2nd Vilespine Slayer without thinking too much about it. Leeroy Jenkins is one of the best crafts in the game anyway, and will serve you well until it is nerfed.

Thank you for this. It was just the nudge I needed. Went and got Leeroy.
It has tricky matchups vs Secret Hunter and Even Paladin however, but you can still win.
The only problem imo is finding the right tech cards for the format. I think Void Ripper is still considered prime choice- I think Owl suits better right now but it just sucks like 60% of the time.
If you have Myra's try a version with Untamed Beastmaster.
Thanks, man. Appreciate it. I don't have Myra. But, I have been running double Chief Investigators. I'll have to check if I have void ripper. I think I have one. Just beat a hunter thanks to CI. Nothing feels better than taking out two secrets with him. I'll definitely look into void ripper. Just beat an evenlock, too. Got him just before the voidlords could come out.
Ha. I thought you were pranking the newb so I wouldn't get Baku's effect.
No srsly not, this could never be a good start
The main-issure in this case: I came from another thread, where a person asked a similar question but not in case of an odd-deck... This post was a mindless quickshot.

Hey mate glad to see you created an account finally :)
Don't bother trying to play around voidlords when facing even lock :)

Play a setup that has tar creepers and maybe a teched in chief inspector this will help with the swarm of spell hunters.
Why does people think that the power of spell/secret hunter relies on their secrets? Odd rogue loses to spellstone, like yes eating all their secrets is not a bad thing to do but that is not gonna win you the game, the only reason for any hunter to run secrets is to upgrade the spellstone, the added secret value is nice but they would run a card that was like 2 mana: Upgrade your spellstone (no more effects) so no, teching Chief Inspector won't do a thing on that match-up
Odd rogue is still a decent choice for the ladder but you could just hit a spell/secret hunter wall and lose every game.
I say it's decent at it beats deathrattle and midrange hunter but gets rekt by any spellstone hunter. At the same time it's fantastic vs. priests in general as you're too fast for they to really settle into the game and priest is seeing a lot of play as it can deal with hunter without a lot of trouble. It also gets humilliated by Odd Warrior but that deck is not seeing a lot of play (definitely more than before but it isn't super prominent) so that's another terrible match-up. Finally you have a fair match-up (50/50) against other meta decks like Even Shaman and Even Paladin and you should always win against any Warlock.
So Odd Rogue is not dead but it has 3 polarized match-ups that it simply can't win so if your local meta is Spell/Secret Hunter and/or Odd Warrior definitely play something else but if, on the other hand, you're playing against lots of Priest, Warlock, Shaman and/or Paladin, Odd Rogue is a fine pick and should allow you to climb ranks without too much hassle.

Best budget = hunter
Odd Rogue is still decent, the matchup matters... you can replace Leeroy with Reckless Rocketeer
Very funny.
Hmm, I think I am on Asian server. Lemme find my tag.

Good point. I guess the question is,can it beat hunter? I dunno, I have been doing a lot of losing since RR. Down from rank 13 to 18

omg, missed on that... if someone asks for leeroy-replacement my 1st clue is always this card..., sry@OP
thx for the correction
*shame*
it' still a strong deck, it can beat Deathrattle-hunter easily, Spell hunter on the other hand is not fav for rogue
Its better after the nerfs cause theres no odd pally. Its tier 1

Ha! Thank you!
Unfortunately no. It's very powerful because Spell Hunter is overplayed so it's EZ win for Odd Rogues.
