Tilted, but also honest question at the same time. It does extreme harm to the wild format by severely narrowing what is competitively viable on ladder, which also means diversity is even less than what would normally be. So why do you play it?
I would think you'd want to see more decks than just Kingsbane & maybe a couple other common decks.
This isn't WoW, the rewards for high winrates is pretty barebones compared to other games. What are you even wanting to obtain with a high winrate using this deck exactly?
You’ve just asked, “Why do you play a reliable deck with a high win rate?”
This is a salt question really.
I was already transparent that I am tilted, but it also has a serious topic behind it as well. Playing one deck that is similar in disastrous effect to the old giant decks is very harmful to the game. In the long run it doesn't help the game yet players still keep jamming the deck onto the ladder.
People hate losing so they play the most toxic and pulverizing decks they can get their hands on. Remember pirate warrior in mean streets? Yeah, i remember that shit. Either play super aggro like zoo or odd pala, or play some wierd otk and hope for the best to win against kingsbane. I feel with you man....

it's not...it's a good one. why u play braindead decks instead try new stuff or challenge urself? Guess many turds will answer the same way, so i don't bother much talk
I've never touched it, but I think the main reason people play it is to counter the other cancer like big priest.
Also, when it comes to broken decks I try to focus my hate onto the cards themselves rather than the people who play them. Cause if you try to see yourself as the hero of ladder and that everyone playing meta decks are scum, you're going to be really salty every match. Also, the idea that others are bad people for playing netdecks is kind of a null point if you've ever played one.
The thing is that it is both at the detriment of the game and the rogue class in general. How often have you actually seen a non-Kingsbane rogue on wild ladder? Exactly. What is the point of creating new rogue cards if they are not even going to be used?
Because I literally JUST crafted it before the new expansion was announced and I don’t have any other competitive deck at the moment cause I am a new player. So I lucked out with kingsbane getting some help cards this expansion so I can actually play ladder. The deck is not “brain dead” like all the salty punks are bitchin it is. It definitely takes more thought than you think it does if you have never played it. Especially against things like taunt druid, shudderwock shaman, and zoolock. (Which now I personally think are complete cancer but I am not complaining)

Tess rogue need thought, strategy and resources management.
Keleseth rogue sometimes need thought but not that much.
Kingsbane rogue need only to survive enough until you have a giant, lifesteal and almost indestructible weapon what 8 of 9 classes can't do anything about it, zero thought, zero skill and sure is a "brain dead" deck.
I play rogue most of the time and have more than 5k wins with the class, I really know what I talking about it.
would it be better if KB was nerfed to a 1/2 instead of a 1/3?
It still would be pretty strong and the win condition would still exist but it would give a little more flexibility for the not so balls to the wall aggressive midrange and control decks
Here is how it works. People like to have fun. People also like winning. So they play fun decks that win more than they don't.
Is it my job to make sure you win enough games or to ensure you don't have to play against decks you don't like? When did that become my responsibility?
Personally, I play lots of decks, Kingsbane Rogue is one of them. I don't play it a lot, but I play it because it has a fun and unique win condition. I'd say it is a little better than it should be right now, but that is something for the game designers to work on, not my problem.
You can target KB rogue and beat it pretty consistently if you want to. Make it your mission to punish people by countering it.

I hate Kingsbane for the same reason I hate barnes. It's just an oppressive card that's extremely polarizing and extremely unfun to play against. It's the antithesis of poor design and really detracts from the game. It's not that the deck has no skill but it just auto wins certain matchups to such a degree it's cancerous. If their was a fair counter to kings bane or if it was a 1/2 instead I wouldn't complain but the degree of polarization just isn't fun. It feels a lot like jade idol but even worse. I just hope the card is nerfed and these cards with this level of polarization are nerfed and won't be printed in the future.

I'm low at budget so I have to play with what I unpack and, as I said, I happened to open a Kingsbane, so why not? It is also a quite cheap deck compared to others like Taunt Druid
Some people like to take games seriously, no matter at which rank. Fun for these people does not exist, I pity them. Even if you are on a budget, there are far less cancerous and better decks to make. Such as spell hunter.
It's a high skill deck that rewards patience and good decision making. If you make poor decisions you will lose, if you're impatient you will lose, if you play too timidly against OTK decks you will lose... It's a deck where there are many ways to play badly and lose, but for those who are skilled and understand the opponent's they play against they can almost always win. Seems like the best kind of deck to me, which is why I play it.

1) Found it in a pack
2) If able to play it, guarantees high winrates
3) tilts most people AF
4) Fun to play (but not fun to play against)
5) tilts most people AF

Those who are given more in life, must not cling to it, but risk it all at every moment!

Yeah, kingsbane is annoying once he stabilises, but odd rogue is much better in both standart and wild, at least imho.
