The advantage to running Southsea is that its incredibly flexible. Unlike the Leeroy combo, you dont have to save your combo pieces for a big finisher. Cold bloods are still strong on their own, and faceless allows for larger minions like a pumped up Shade/Van Cleef/Questing to be cloned. Southsea is also incredible against hunters as a 1 mana trap checker.
I like it more than malagos rouge because malagos is incredibly susceptible to hard removal and loatheb. If you save your Sinister Strikes and Eviscerates until you play malagos, and your opponent saves loatheb till then, your fancy finish has just been shut down.
Yeh, this is exactly how I feel about Malygos; he's just too slow and vulnerable to hard removal/silence (unless you happen to have Conceal in hand, but even then it can potentially be countered by Loatheb). The Faceless Manipulator in the Deckhand build, as you said, can be very versatile, and Cold Bloods can also be used in several situations, as could Shadowsteps in the Leeroy Jenkins build for comparison.
I like Malygos. I find you can make a hybrid tempo/miracle deck as you substitute stuff for more aggressive minions. You keep board control and save up on essential spells until you drop Malygos, who finishes the game.
The advantage here is that the opponent will blow their removal on earlier minions and Maly will be free to wreck their deck. I like this version more as I feel you have stronger lower-mana plays that keep your opponent in check while you get your miracle engine going.
Malygos has always been more a gimmick deck than a real powerhouse. The problem as everyone pointed out is that the Malygos version is super late game. Which means that your opponent has 10 turns to draw Loatheb and ruin your day.
Also the problem with Miracle decks is that they generally use their damage cards to keep the board clear or just kill Taunts. With Malygos you no longer need to worry about Taunts but you need more than ever to keep every minion at bay. If you pack in many Taunts you won't have enough spells to draw with Gadgetzan. If you go for the regular spells list into the mid range and early game minions you will probably run out of steam by the time you play Malygos.
To me the 2 possibilities are the regular Miracle deck with leeroy still in and a tweak with an extra Cold Blood or Assassin's Blade or simply switch to a more rush Tempo Rogue deck list.

to make malygos miracle to work you have to know how to play the deck correctly. you have to bait out the loatheb if they run one with gadgetzan. because they will use it without a second thought. also u need to have more cards that stall compared to traditional miracle with cards like senijn/sludge/doomsayer. you end up having all the spells and board clear that you need to pull off consistent games.

I still see potential with the Southsea Deckhand Miracle regardless; still not 100% about Tempo Rogue in this meta, but maybe it'll be a little more playable after Hunter bites the dust next week. We'll just have to wait and see, honestly.
Nerfed Leeroy Jenkins is still a turn faster than Malygos disregarding Taunt, I think that says a lot for the viability of Malygos and why Deckhand/Arcane Golem are probably where you should be spending your time. Also consider just how much Malygos telegraphs your next turn for Loatheb, it's brutal.
Malygos Miracle is a very reliable and solid deck. If played properly there isn't much to "delay" as it is played more midrangeish and plays a lot more threats, like Anub'ar Ambushers. You can't play it like a Leeroy Jenkins Miracle!
The idea is to deal good damage early with your minions while saving at least one Prep, SS, and Evis. When you drop him you then deal minimum 17dmg.
Seriously, the goal here isn't to have Maly win you the game on his own, but rather to finish it for you while you build a board with your minions. So you don't care at all for Loatheb because they'd need to drop him the turn before you play Maly.
I'm personally considering making a more control-style Rogue with Maly which would include cards like Rag or maybe Kel Thuzad just to buff up the minion aspect of the deck.

Idk if KT would work but maybe a giants/miracle could work. I'm sure a list has been already thought of for that. But yea Malygos miracle is a really underrated deck just not many know how to play it right

I think you are pretty much describing Tempo Rogue rather than Miracle Rouge. Miracle contains lots of spells to fuel Gadgetzan draws while the deck you describe is pretty minion heavy and more board control oriented.

I've swarmed the board enough times that KT would be a consideration for me.

@flexr: Malygos is definitely more inclined towards tempo than pure miracle, yes. That doesn't mean you need to sacrifice the miracle aspect.
For example, you don't need to run shadowsteps or conceals any more and you can switch these to minions instead. Replace the 'steps with Anubars and the conceal with, say, a loot hoarder and your board presence will be stronger while not sacrificing card draw.
It seriously does work if you make the right deck. Give it a shot.
Forsen is playing another variation of Miracle, only with no direct finisher. It wins just by keeping shear board control and pushing damage with cards like Cold Blood. This makes room for more midrange minions, allowing space for both Azure Drakes and Sludge Belchers in one list! Decklist here.

True it's a good list, but not having combos or weird situations kind of kills the fun out of hearthstone

It may kill some fun for you, but at least your opponents won't have to deal with Leeroy + Shadowstep! ;]
There are 2 versions will be played mostly. Either Arcane Golem + Double CB + Faceless for 24 damage, or Leeroy SS Double CB for 20 damage. I tried Malygos and you need to keep one prep or conceal for it, and if you do that you spend an entire turn almost doing nothing, I don't think it will be viable as a deck.

Agreed, though I feel Miracle won't be 100% restricted to those two variations you described. There's so many ways to play the deck "suboptimally" without Leeroy, but one will eventually prove more consistent than the others.

Yes there are different ways to play Miracle, for example Forsen's miracle without a finisher is really good and I think it is more viable that the one with Arcane Golem+2CB and Faceless, but if people want to replace Leeroy+ss+ss with another finisher combo I don't think there are more viable ways than these two.
