Finja Rogue doesn't lose anything essential with the rotation - looking at the VS numbers, the deck has been outperforming Miracle Rogue since mid-February, and currently sports a win-rate slightly below 52%. Un'Goro provides some interesting new tools for the class. It seems that the OP may not be correct in thinking that Rogue will be "completely screwed."
People talk about Conceal Miracle Rogue was the only iteration of Miracle Rogue.
Leeroy got nerfed, they didn't care. Auctioneer got nerfed, they didn't care. They still survived on mainly core cards by doing 8 damage to the face and miracle into Leeroy with 2 coldblood and 2 evis to the face. Losing conceal is nothing to this class.
I'll call Miracle Rogue dead when but when both Prep and Auctioneer goes into Hall of Fame.
You seem to forget that miracle rogue didn't exist between auctioneer nerf and the release of Tomb Pillager. I think miracle can probably survive without Tomb Pillager and Azure Drake (conceal isn't that big of a deal), but it would be solely because of Counterfeit Coin. When that rotates, there's no more miracles to be had i m o.
That, my friend, is going to be an absolute cancer in wild. As soon as you activate crystal core with those funky little elementals, you start churning out 1-2 mana 5/5's on board until you get a pirate and two gangups in hand and then it's gg. Taunts? Ok, here's sap. Or hell, vanish, i don't care if my 1 mana fellas get back to hand, i'll drop em again.
it was the same in the last expansion: rogue is running the same archetype of deck since the beginning, the miracle rogue. We see sometimes malygos rogue but the only deck able to change rogue's situation was oil rogue and it has been brutally nerfed - for no reason, i still can't see these powerful weapons they were tanking about. Maybe every expansion gives something new, but that deck is running just the Coin (...) more than previous version. With the rotation of tomb pillager and conceal in wild maybe they will try to make viable quest rogue but i don't know how much it can be powerful. Rogue from TGT received really few cards good enough to be viable in competitive decks, it is still mostly based on classic set. What a pity.
and last but not least, some very weird and whacky concept to toy with if you're bored (Sherazin).
So, nothing wrong here, the only 3 time World champion class is doing fine, as always. So to you Rogue "players", could you please stop complaining, at least for a week or two ?
Sorry, I don't know how to quote a single specific sentence, so I'll just go with whole post.
Vilespine Slayer is the BEST card of the expansion, ok I'm not sure how to laugh at this one. And your claim gets even more pointless, by saying BY A MILE. Really? REALLY?
Card is at best an average tempo card, thats about it. What does it do that Sap can't? Please elaborate me on this one!
Of course rogue finds a way to sneak back to top tiers, that's because rogue players are quite passionate about the class and we try to make it work, one way or another. But not like this.
All the cards you gave as an example are neutral cards, what does it say about what did a class get from an expansion? We say Paladin will be in bad shape, and it probably will. Do you also slam several neutral cards there to try to prove the class is just fine? This post is as stupid as saying 'Look, there is even Spiritsinger Umbra, card is insane, why Paladin players are such crybabies?' How much does this make sense? You tell me.
Main post is about the class cards rogue got, and they are weaker compared to some classes, and stronger than others. But in general, I could say they are below average. And this is a fact, just ask a pro in their streams, they will tell you the same thing.
You have any idea why rogue is somehow make it to world championship finals? Because against slower decks (except freeze mage), miracle rogue is an auto-win, at the hands of those pros. It is not because the power level as as high as shaman or warrior, or even warlock. Its because it has a niche. Now it is also good against jade druid too, soi of course some version of miracle rogue play of course, see what I mean?
Again, Vilespine Slayer is not the best card of the expansion, hell, it is not even the best rogue card. Biteweed, and Razorpetal Volley has way more potential. Do I claim druid quest is the best quest of all? Why? Because it is not, easy as that!
Please think for a bit before accusing people of complaining about something.
