Just played this game as the final boss (5 stars rank 1) and I am very unsure about the play. Opponent has pretty much drawn 2/5 of his deck (10 cards left). Is it too greedy to hold on to the dragonfire or should you cast it?
Edit. I have killed one tome pillager, one cold blood is gone and one evis.

IMO, having played a lot of Priest and always fearing the comeback potential in this matchup, I would have probably snap-played the Dragonfire Potion. Whenever I see a concealed auctioneer, it is a sign to me that their hand has little substance and needs the additional 3 mana for the Questing or for Van Cleef. Although killing gadget means you lose your entire turn, it gives you better odds over the course of the game to win, since one conceal is already gone. In an unfavored match-up such as this one, you must take risks. At worst, you are trading 1-for-1 and at best, you are ridding the Rogue of their entire next turn. I think it can be justified to play the potion here.
I have looked into it myself and the play is definitely to cast dragonfire potion.
By delaying, I play to the win condition that he will not manage to cast a bigger questing than 5/5 with stealth. There are two questings left to be played. With 10 cards left in the deck, it is extremely unlikely that he hasnt one in hand or will draw into it in 2-3 turns (90%). Then he needs 2-3 turns to find conceal if he doesnt have it. Still the odds are probably around 80% to get both cards and in the right order. So 20 % chance to win if not played.
On the other hand, if played. He cannot draw those 4-5 extra cards with auctioneer and the odds drop. By not having minions on board it is also more difficult to find effective targets for his cards. Still it is probably close to lost when he takes board with leeroy and burn in hand.
edit:easier to beat meme decks like jade n'zoth rogue.. :)
